This review is from: 23 WATT BR40 DIMMABLE CFL 50K FULL SPECTRUM COMPACT FLUORESCENT LIGHT BULB SPECTRA BRITE
This bulb didn't last a week on a normal switch, so I can't imagine how short it's life will be on a dimmer.

2.0 out of 5 stars Typical CFL Switch-Kill Issues - dies quickly, waste of money., January 21, 2012

This review is from: 23 WATT BR40 DIMMABLE CFL 50K FULL SPECTRUM COMPACT FLUORESCENT LIGHT BULB SPECTRA BRITE
Have yet to see one of these that will last longer than 6 to 12 months ... they are advertised to last for years (long enough to pay for their higher cost via energy savings & long life vs. legacy filament bulbs), but actually, all CFL bulbs I've seen have the same issue - they are not made to handle being switched on and off as often as is typical in kitchen and home applications. Sure, the bulbs could last for years on their own if left on permanently, but in reality, the switching causes them to die even faster than filament bulbs - an utter waste of money, plus an environmental issues due to the mercury vapor inside.
