Excellent vehicle security system for just connecting two wires. Several months later and I'm still impressed with this product of Directed Electronic, Inc. I received it promptly.

I used this in a older Toyota 4 Runner that has power door locks but no wireless key fob. This alarm performs as promised. It was easy to install. I had installed a new stereo and wanted a little protection for it and this alarm does that. I hooked up the headlight wire but not the starter disconnect and it works great. Position the antenna correctly and the transmit range is quite good.

I purchased an alarm off Amazon the other day for my sons car, I wanted something cheap to just work when the doors are opened. I bought a Directed Electronics model 20930 . And let me tell you it is absolutely the BEST $19.20 I ever spent. It is a simple 2 wire install (pos and neg) and it senses and current draw, like opening the doors and has an adjustable shock sensor and also 8 different alarm modes. It also has starter kill and light flash if you choose to hook those up.

This thing is really loud too, it was nice to buy something cheap and get such a great working unit......for a change

If your looking for something simple and unexpensive, then I would really suggest this.

AUTO SECURITY SYSTEM It has been several months since I purchased this alarm. It is installed on a 57 chevy PRO-STREET P/U. I'm still very well pleased with it. Very easy to install and works really good. And as always a very good price from AMAZON! This is just one more item I bought from AMAZON at a great price--THANKS AMAZON!!

Looks like a good unit for the price BUT...... be prepared to get only 1 remote. If your wife uses the car you will have to share it !!!

Not real happy with the product. I first started using it when I went out of town for the day. My tenant called me on my cell phone saying that the alarm went off and is their some way he could turn it off. I didn't have an idea how because I was out of town. He and the neighbors had to listen to it till I got back. Now I am affraid to turn it on again!

This is a great auto security system for the money. I have purchased and installed these systems on 3 vehicles. They are economical, sensitive and loud. 2 boys attempted to burglarize my Kia Rondo, triggering the alarm, and were scared off. Sometimes, if a car with a loud muffler or radio drove by, the alarm went off, but it was a simple matter of adjusting the sensitivity.

We bought this car alarm after having my husband's service truck broken into while in the backyard. We purchased this unit and some supplemental wireless sensors (purchased elsewhere) to prevent this from happening again. With any significant bump to the truck or opening of any door (or cabinet on it with the sensors), the alarm goes off alerting us. So it does exactly what we wanted it to do. We are very pleased. Of note, this unit was manufactured in 2005. The sensors we bought elsewhere are no longer readily available and the company no longer supports this "outdated" unit, but for a basic, simple to install theft deterrant, you cannot beat it for the price.
