Book Description

Let me introduce myself quickly to you. My name is Geoff Norman and I owned a company that was contracted by some major national and international insurers. My company specialized in Fire and Flood restoration and almost without exception Policy holders had no idea what to do or how their claim was to be handled.

They were, again almost without exception, at a loss when it came to their rights and what they were supposed to do during the course of their disaster claim. So I compiled this guide in an attempt to educate all policy holders about the claims process, those involved in it and what they can do to ensure their claim is successful.

In this Guide book you'll be reading words and language that you probably haven't heard or seen before. However I have tried to refrain from Insurance Jargon as much as possible so as not to confuse. Like the entire financial services industry, Insurance companies seem to operate within a language all of their own. Nevertheless we as policy holders are able break through their jargon by insisting that we are spoken to in conversational terms.

It is very easy to understand why so many people do not get all that they are entitled to when making a substantial claim. Major claims usually as a result of a disaster at home resulting in serious damage to their house and contents can be a minefield for a policy holder.

The guide takes you through all the component parts of a major claim in such a way as to keep you in control of affairs that directly affect the success of your claim. You therefore need to read right through the guide from start to finish.

Editorial Reviews

From the Author

While handling disaster Insurance Claims for some of the major National and International Insurance Companies, there was always and without fail a lack of knowledge, experience and advice suffered by policy holders.

When disaster strikes it certainly focuses the mind especially during major flooding or raging, out of control fires. People understandably panic first and think later. Imagine the help line of an Insurance Company during these times, yes you are right, they are inundated with calls and you can be hanging on the end of the phone line for up to an hour and more in some cases.

To cut to the chase, the reason I wrote this book is to provide everybody with the essential information, in easy language exactly what they should do in any circumstances when making an Insurance Claim.

In it is explained what their rights are as policy holders, who they can expect to meet during the whole process and what they have a right to expect from each person or organization, from Loss Adjusters to cleaners.

This book is essential reading for every household preferably before the need to claim. Forewarned is forearmed!!

More About the Author

Geoff has spent far too many years (he says) in the Corporate world working for others and and he has not looked back since retiring early. He started researching subjects for his books to be published in the Amazon Kindle catalog almost straight away.

He worked with a number of Multinationals at Corporate level Including National Starch and Chemical Corporation of Bridgewater New Jersey & Beatrice Foods for many years. As a consultant he negotiated a number of major mergers and acquisitions.

He says he enjoys nothing more than researching and writing books for self publication on Kindle. It Takes around 10 weeks to write 40000 word book after about 2 weeks solid research.

The subjects are mostly chosen as a result of conversations with people he knows or from friends and family. In these rather difficult and challenging times he feels privileged to have the energy and dedication to get things done. he thinks this is the result of being a rather dogged and determined corporate manager.

he has written many more books and they are available only from his website that he built originally for promoting his amazon books only.
