I have about 100 lipo packs and I know all the in's and out's of their care and charging and explosive potential if abused. These DJI 'smart batteries' really are better. Yes they are proprietary and you pay more for their exclusive form factor and connectivity but not really that much more and they work so I'm happy with the value proposition. I think the Vision 2 really deserves 2 maybe 3 battery packs to make the most of nice days when flying is fun and shouldn't be delayed because of recharging. Using the DJI recharger a full recharge of a 2/3 empty pack takes about an hour. BY THE WAY don't EVER run these packs below 25% capacity. Stop when there is one green bar solid and one green bar flashing. Lipo's are all the same chemistry and it hurts their longevity to run them to empty the way you would run down a regular battery. These are not NIMH or alkaline chemistry packs. Lithium Polymer (aka lipo) batteries are better in so many ways but they are different and they require their own discipline and routine. Ignore that at your own peril.

Despite any claims to the contrary by DJI or others, these batteries are good for about 50 cycles no matter how well you take care of them. After that, you can get about 60% out of them before the voltage sags below acceptable levels. Bad battery issues. Phantom 2 vision will flash red, screen says there is a battery issue and it lands itself. Seems there are a lot of people having this problem on the phantom 2 vision Amazon reviews. I just want to exchange the battery but dji does not make it easy to contact them. For $130 I expected a more reliable battery.

Need I say anything else, I believe the subject line says it all. This is the original OEM battery which I ordered the day after I received my Phantom because I just knew that the 25 min flying time wouldn't cut it. Now I have close to an hour before having to wait for the charge. And on that note, get yourself a second charger so that cuts your time down to about 60 minutes between flights. Before long I will order a third battery so that I should be able to stay flying all day without a break!

Got this battery and noticed it was a different version from the ones that came with my Phantom 2 V2 that i got directly from DJI. I don't know what the difference is. Used it for a couple months then did a cell check and it showed that one of the cells are bad!

I Have 2 of these batteries ordered as spares from a hobby shop, and I haven't used them yet, but when I do I will edit this review. I just wanted to let buyers know that this price of $189.00 is way out of line and you can save over $30.00 by going to B&H. Don't get ripped off by this seller. I am ashamed of Amazon for even having this greedy seller on their site. It makes them look bad. Especially when Amazon is noted for very competitive prices.

I have four Phantom 2 batteries, two of which came from Amazon. Two of my batteries are having the "early auto landing" problem which is becoming more common with these batteries. I've only used the Amazon supplied battery 18 times and it auto landed, out of control, at 32% battery remaining yesterday. DJI is not admitting to any problems, and the PrimeDeal warranty is only 30 days. $169 shot.

first time trying this 'new' 'working' 'genuine' battery it did not work. So I charged it, and it would not charge. Tried flying my brand new phantom 2 vision with it and the app told me 'invalid battery'. I attempted to return it to this seller, and it said this item is not available to be returned. It was purchased the last week of 2014. Don't waste your time, money, or aggravation getting scammed by this seller of returned batteries. Go thru DJI directly. Or end up out $130 like me, not even a month old, and on my very first use. Thanks again.

If you've flown the Phantom 2, you know how easy it is to get an amazing experience. However, you also know that despite the battery's excellent capacity, 22 minutes just isn't enough time with your Phantom 2. Another battery will brighten your day and keep you in the sky longer.

The DJI batteries are excellent. Foolproof charging, easy installation/removal, and great battery life. The price may seem high, but you absolutely get what you pay for with this battery!

If I could give a 0 stars I would. Apparently this is
Not a DJI battery as advertised. Fully charged it gives a abnormal battery warning on iPhone screen when monitoring the camera. And the drone would not start. To verify I changed with OEM battery (at 25%) and all worked fine. Do not buy this unit $125 wasted.
