No, it doesn't. The green light will blink red when you have two minutes left. I bought a cheap kitchen timer and set it for 9 minutes so I have two minutes to get it back.

I agree that it's ridiculous that so many companies aren't providing printed materials anymore. But you can go online and get the operating manual. We actually downloaded it, printed it out and put it in a three-hole folder so we could take it out to the field with us. I have two: The first one I really had a hard time getting it to start up. The second one, one we did the basic assembly, started and flew "right out of the box" as claimed. No problem, except that these things are not easy to fly, and you almost surely WILL crash it.

Good question! To tell you the truth, I don't know either. If you go to DJI website and compare all the specs, they all have the same ranges, same power, etc. FC40 flying time is shorter but you can pay $7.00 to $20 to upgrade new V2 props, get a 5000mah battery, etc... other than that I don't understand why people want to spend more. Notes: Phantom 1 use 2.4 ghz which is good to upgrade with 5.8 ghz FPV system, V2 and V2 plus use 5.8 ghz just like fc40, they have wifi extender ehich you can get a home extender for your fc40, it's much cheaper... although V version has better camera (so what?). If you find anything different, please let me know so I can educate myself too. Cheers!

There have been several court cases and each case the FAA has lost. Profit means getting paid for a specific action or service. For example, I take a picture of you and you pay me for the service of taking the picture. But if I take a picture of you and charge you for processing the picture and NOT the act of taking the picture, then I have not made a profit for taking the picture. I know that is as clear as mud. But currently, that is as the law is right now.

The FAA has regulations limiting the heights of flights. Hypothetically, the craft can climb until it's battery is exhausted or it loses signal from the transmitter at which time it will go into failsafe mode and return to origin. Anytime you fly higher or farther than visual range, you risk losing a very expensive aircraft.

I've been getting between 10 and 12 minutes depending on wind conditions and how actively you fly it.
