We loved this product until 2 days ago. Have had it almost a year & all of the sudden the screen on remote went black. After researching problem on internet, it seems the remote has a battery inside that is not replaceable!! The system does not work without the remote. We are looking for another dock to replace this one. Will not buy again due to battery problem. Unless you want to buy a new one every year or so, don't purchase. Search the web to see other reviews about battery before you buy.

This is the best of the remote controlled docks (to date). The only problem is that it has only a 1000 song limit. This unfortunately makes it useless for those of us who are avid music fans and have large collections of music. And lets face it, that's probably most ipod owners. DLO, please increase the memory on this remote! It's an otherwise superior product.

"out of range" No signal, playlists don't load properly, needs to be reset everyday, and then it all of sudden just doesn't work. Sound quality is pathetic with "popping" noise in the background. I purchased two of these (business and home). Neither one of them work. Sure, they both worked great for about two weeks, and then...nothing. We have reset them, followed instructions in the manual, and we have contacted customer service (which is Phillips by the way), and have been referred to one department after another. Cheap product, no customer support, and waste of money! The remote might as well be used to scrape dead bugs off your windshield. At least it won't let you down there until the plastic breaks.

This product is exactly what I was looking for. I use out by my pool, and can change music and volume from anywhere in my home and outside in my yard. It is however a little finicky. I have had to reset it several times(insert a pin or paper clip into the hole on bottom of remote). I have owned mine for a year and a half and it serves me well.

Bought a refurbished one. Liked the idea of a small controller with on screen info & navigation. Price was OK. Remote was inconsistent. Lots of "out of range" messages despite the fact that the remote was next to the base unit. Base unit was a constant struggle to get my iPod Classic correctly positioned so that sound would come out with proper fidelity & would charge the ipod. Lot's of problems with left or right channel cutting out or not transmitting. Finally gave up & I am still looking for a reliable, reasonably priced solution that fits my requirements.Can not recommend @ any price including free.

I bought this for my Ipod Touch so I can connect it to my receiver and play it out loud. No matter what I do, it sounds terrible. The instruction book says to find the right balance between the volume of the Ipod and the volume of the receiver to get the right sound. I have spent WAY too much time trying to get this right and that include adjusting the EQ settings too. It just sounds terrible. So I put my DLO Homedock back on my receiver for my Ipod Video 5th generation and I am back in business again. Looks like I wont get rid of my 5th gen Ipod after all. So since it took me too long to hook this unit up and then try to get it to sound good I cant return it. I am going to use it as a dock for my Ipod Touch to my PC. Of course, I had to buy the proper cable to do this as it is not included in the package.

I am disappointed in this dock only because the previous version for the previous version Ipod sounds great. Maybe it will work for you.

Works really well, The remote works from about 30 feet away, I have not tried it further away. A good product all around.

This docking system allows me to use the ipod and see the songs I want on the remote that comes with the system. The remote also goes through doors and walls (I'm not kidding!) I teach physical education and use music almost every day in my classes; this device has been a wonderful addition to my day. Great system for the price.

We've been through TWO of these same remotes in less than a year at our dance studio. It is a terrible product. Half of the time it's giving you an "OUT OF RANGE" error even when you're standing right next to the dock. Then one day the darn thing just dies and there's NOTHING you can do about it. This is a total waste of money!

I purchased these for our bar and hotel and they do not last past two months. Do yourself a favor and find another brand as I have, these are terrible. I will never purchase these again.
