When I first got this lamp I was very pleased with it. I've now had it about 5 weeks and it has broken. The longer I had it the harder it got to turn on until yesterday the lamp part broke away from the arm.

It is very disappointing because I liked the light and at first I felt it was a very good deal. There are plastic parts that won't stand up to usage.

Some facts: 60 watt bulb max. Clamp style base. Base clamps as expected but, like many lower end swing arm lamps, is designed to swing freely. Good for horizontal table, (easy to swing lamp left/right). Bad for tilting table. Other moving joints can be tightened down as tight as you want it. It stays where you want it. Adjusts with one hand (adjust from upper arm because lamp housing gets hot...small child hazard?...well, they won't touch it twice but they won't hurt long either) Entire lamp made of mostly metal and some plastic. Switch is plastic and is good size; easy to grip. Also easy to turn. My opinion: This is a good swing arm lamp for a horizontal desk. It is bright enough for me and I use it for small electronics and reading. It covers my 3' x 7' desk easy. It is not cheap looking. Hard to beat for $7 with free shipping!

This is nice little lamp but is mostly plastic and arrived with the "head" snapped off. I dont have the time to return it so i fixed it and now it works fine but i wouldnt buy another as its poor quality and clearly cant stand up to much heavy use.

Had this for 30 days or better and is just what I needed. Only takes 40 watt maximum, but is all I need around my computer desk. Price is right.

I've tried several low priced desk lamps, and have been disappointed in quality and function. This one is good. It stays where you want it, attaches easily, looks good, and has a good price. What more can I ask?

This is a nice lamp. It takes up very little desktop room, but is able to stretch very far. I have no complaints, it all works as you would hope it would. Can put the lamp anywhere and it stays. Good product.
