5.0 out of 5 stars A must-have. Great setlist, Great Sound
Okay, I've had this album for a month now... and here is my review:

When I first popped it in, I was disappointed. I went to both shows; and they were both amazing. The venue - Fenway - is historic, and Boston is a great city. The best part about DMB @ Fenway was the crowd; every seat was filled and so was the field. So, I was a little disappointed when I...

3.0 out of 5 stars Not their best, but not horrible
I have every album these guys have put out, and I must admit I was a but dissapointed when I listened to this concert. The thing about DMB is that they are always changing and trying new things. The addition of Rashawn Ross is great for the new songs, but hearing him play on the old songs takes some getting used to. Out of all the songs my favorite would have to be "Break...

5.0 out of 5 stars A must-have. Great setlist, Great Sound, October 30, 2006

This review is from: DMB Live Trax Vol. 6: Fenway Park (Audio CD)

So, I was a little disappointed when I popped it in and I could barely hear the crowd.

However, now that I listen to the album more, I'm happy there isn't too much crowd. And I realize there is crowd if you just turn it up alot. You can mess with the audio levels a little to get the sound you're looking for anyways.

Next, the set list. I can honestly say there was only a few songs Dave didn't play that I wanted to ehar that weekend. Here is a highlight of some of the songs:

1. Grace is Gone
I'm a huge fan of this song, and the best live version is from this album. It's 15:03 long. It starts of slowly as usual, and DMB eventually breaks into a 10 minute instrumental part... and then it all loops back into the song. Amazing.

2. One Sweet World
Also awesome on this. The crowd level is perfect.

3. Warehouse
Whooo... 11:40

4. Sweet Caroline (Neil Diamond)
You can't go to Fenway without playing this song. At the show, everyone got really, really into this one. I remember barely being able to hear Dave singing; I think that's why some people complain about the crowd levels on the album. The crazy part was that Dave sounds exactly like Diamond, it's nuts.

5. Jimi Thing
17:57

New unreleased stuff: The Idea of You, Break Free (awesome song), and Can't Stop.

I'm a huge Dave fan, and I give it a five since there really are some sweet versions of classic songs as well as some new stuff. And as for the sound; it's really good and it's a perfect balance of crowd and tunes.

Too bad they didn't release a DVD.... that was a huge rumor at the show(s).

5.

5.0 out of 5 stars Another Great Piece of Live Material, July 25, 2007
This review is from: DMB Live Trax Vol. 6: Fenway Park (Audio CD)
These are two nights of complete energy and great sound from Dave & Crew. They balance their old fan favorites perfectly with a whole slew of new songs off of the Stand Up album. Songs such as the energetic The Idea of You; the soulful Break Free; and Can't Stop are all featured during the two night stand, along with Fenway Park tradition- Neil Diamond's Sweet Caroline. Live at Fenway Park is the only set where you can hear these songs live, which is part of what makes it so valuable for listeners.
However, Dave & Crew keep the long-time fans happy with a wide smattering of old fan-favorites, including a powerful Two Step to end the two night stand. Also, such rarities as The Last Stop, Digging A Ditch, and (Don't Burn The) Pig, make this a well-rounded set.
Words cannot describe the awesomeness of this version of "Satellite." Definately the highlight of both nights. Such a beautiful song, and such a wonderful version of it. The crowd reaction is tremendous, and gives me goosebumps each and every time i listen to it.
Buy it. You won't regret it.

5.0 out of 5 stars "Just in case y'all were wondering...I love that song too", March 21, 2007
This review is from: DMB Live Trax Vol. 6: Fenway Park (Audio CD)
Dave says that during this show after finishing a couple great tunes. What does that tell you?

If you've been to a show or two, you know that Dave Matthews Band is a superlative live act. This recording delivers excellent sound quality with a setlist that demonstrates how so many old favorites from the first 4-5 albums have evolved into epic jams. Grace is Gone ends with a Hoedown Jam, just sweet...A Super Funk 17:57 Jimi Thing. Fenway delivers great future classics such as Break Free, Idea of You, and Can't Stop. Quite simply, I listen to DMB everyday and this is the best single concert I've ever heard.

This is a great example of Dave Matthews' music in a live venue. His live stuff is so much better than studio and it comes through in this album.

I was at both shows, UNBELIEVABLE. Begining to end couldn't have asked for a better setlist while always exluding American Baby. Ross adds sooo much to the songs.

This 4-disc set is a MUST OWN for any DMB fan from Beantown. Amazing set lists on both nights, one-of-a-kind recordings (Sweet Caroline), mind-altering solos, and fiery tracks belted out like only Dave can do. Buy it; you will not be disappointed.

5.0 out of 5 stars WOW, January 11, 2007
This review is from: DMB Live Trax Vol. 6: Fenway Park (Audio CD)
Absolutely Amazing. The amazingness of this concert rivals the central park concert which was undoubtedly DMB's best. the intro to say goodbye is phenomenal and the addition of the new songs is something that I've waited for since there premiere at the start of the summer.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not their best, but not horrible, October 19, 2006

I have every album these guys have put out, and I must admit I was a but dissapointed when I listened to this concert. The thing about DMB is that they are always changing and trying new things. The addition of Rashawn Ross is great for the new songs, but hearing him play on the old songs takes some getting used to. Out of all the songs my favorite would have to be "Break Free." It is by far their best new song in a long time. Another problem with this show is that they made separate tracks for some of the songs that lead into other songs. I like to hear "Pantala Naga Pampa" go right into "Rapunzel" and "So Much to Say" go into "Anyone seen the Bridge." If you have it on an MP3 player it doesn't flow all that well. If you want a really good concert pick up "Live at Central Park," it's their best live album outside of the Live Trax Series.

4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent, but not new, August 9, 2007

This review is from: DMB Live Trax Vol. 6: Fenway Park (Audio CD)
I am a big Dave Matthews fan, and have always really loved his shows, and while this CD provided a good amount of classical material, it doesn't provide much new. The three new songs are ok, but not exciting. If you love Dave live, you will enjoy this group of CDs, but if you are looking for some fresh DMB, you might be a little disapointed...

I was not...
