I received all 50 of my pedometers in 1 week. The packaging wasn't perfect because the pedometers were shuffling about in the box, there was also a dent on the side of my box. A couple of the counters in my pedometers got stuck, but I was able to "fix" it by placing it flat on my palm and "clapping" my hands together to get the counter loose. Despite this minor problem NONE of them arrived broken. They are accurate. To the previous comments, it DOES matter WHERE you place the pedometer. Everyone walks differently and the best way for your readings may be the front right of your hip while to another the best place may be the rear left side of their waistband. I find that they count best when they are on the back, just above the left or right buttocks.

This pedometer measures steps, miles, km, and calories. There is no way to calibrate for your step length so the last three measurements are averages. This is why I gave it only 4 stars. To be fair, I knew that it wouldn't have that option when I bought it, but it is a minor shortcoming.
I found the steps to be pretty accurate. I did a test of 200 steps and it was off by 6 steps. It could have been when I bent down to pick up the paper, but that's only 3%, which is 300 steps in a 10,000 step day.

I love that it has a cover and doesn't reset accidentally. The belt clip is very sturdy and won't come off. I've even carried it in the 5th pocket of my jeans and gotten great results. The way the cover comes off while it's on your belt let's you easily see your step count with out taking it off.

It seems to count at least 3 steps for every actual step. There is no adjustment for your stide length or weight.

I checked its accuracy and it's phenomenal, but the darn thing often resets to 0 in a random fashion.

Excellent Pedometer. Tested first by walking 20 steps and it registered 20. Stride is preset so it does estimated distance, but there is no set up, so it is really easy to use.

I ordered 5 of these and 5 of the less expensive CM model and had my employees wear one of each for a week and keep a record. To start with, one of these arrived DOA and because I had removed it from the box the seller asserts that is used and will apply the 15% restocking fee plus shipping both ways to replace it. The DMC-03 read 2-3 times the number of steps the plain CM one did so I asked everyone to manually count to see which pedometer was correct and surprisingly the cheaper CM was far more accurate. When I contacted customer service to see about replacing the DMC-03's with the CM's I was told that I can't prove they are inaccurate so they are used and the 15% restocking fee plus shipping, both ways, applies and then only if I notified them of the defect within 3 days of receipt. Well, it took us longer than 3 days to figure out which one was correct and I would have ordered about 1000 of the CM's but I guess I'll have to find something else now because I will not do business with someone who will not stand by their product. Did I mention that I attempted to contact customer service around mid-morning last Friday and was told that the customer service dept would not be available until Monday??? This is nuts!

IF YOU DECIDE TO PURCHASE THESE BE SURE TO READ THE RETURNS POLICY FIRST!!!!

This was perfect I had more expensive models but kept clearing the information by accidently hitting the buttons.
Thought shipping was a little high for something this small?

At the time I purchased this pedometer I also bought one that counted steps only. Measuring steps only, one cannot relate those numbers to anything meainingful; whereas the multifunction meter gives you actual milage readings. It also equates that reading to calories burned which I find very helpful as a gauge for the effectiveness of my walking exercise. I intend to purchase additional units of this model.
