I had been searching for a washable medium to use for putting patterns on fabric for embroidery. Most of what I encountered was transfer paper that left marks that did not wash off, and so I had to be extremely careful when using it to apply a pattern. This pen is a life saver! The blue ink is faint, so it can be a little bit of a challenge on darker fabrics (but I don't think it was really designed for that purpose), but it's marvelous on everything else. And if I screw up when tracing the pattern, the ink comes right up with a damp cloth. The pen works beautifully and I can achieve think and thick lines with it. I highly recommend this if you like to "go off book" with your embroidery work.

I'm new to embroidery and began it as a craft to do with my little girl. This pen shows up as blue marker on fabric, but when exposed to water, the blue instantly washes away and disappears. It has come in handy for a variety of other fabric projects since I purchased it. For example, we made fabric rosettes by cutting circles of fabric and stitching them together. It was so easy to use this pen to trace the circles and convenient to know that it would rinse away and not show afterward.

I can't comment on how long the pen will last, but having had it a few months, I've gotten much use out of it. It's a great crafter's tool!

I have many transfer pens, pencils, etc and this is my favorite. My only wish is that they had a fine version. It comes out blue on fabric, but when water touches it, it vanishes. Very cool.

Because I like to use non-traditional images for embroidery, this pen comes in handy. I can scan a sketch into the computer, edit it, pull it up on my screen, adjust to the proper size, and then trace it onto lightweight canvas or fabric (the screen works as a light box.

I'm a novice embroiderer, and I was looking for a way to transfer designs I had drawn to fabric. I had read some reviews on a few different sites that said the blue marks would come back even after getting them wet/washing them out, but this has not happened to me at all. I think the problem they might have had was not getting the fabric really wet, because if you just dab it with a wet paper towel or something, the marks will reappear when dry. I have had a great experience with this product!

The pen is good for light colored fabrics, and even does well on fabrics that have a busy pattern. It washes out easily. However, it doesn't do all that great on felt.

As an artist I am constantly "doodling" and many of these are done on scraps of paper. I need to transfer my drawings onto wateer color paper, canvas and other papers depending on the medium I choose. I wasn't aware of these transfer pencils but this little gem made my life a bit easier.

I last bought a Singer fabric pen, and it was nearly dried out after only two uses (yes, the cap was on securely). This pen is much easier to see on fabric (the last pen was pink, but the blue is much clearer), and it seems like it will last much longer than my last pen. Washes out of the fabric easily. Highly recommend.
