overall good board,

Very few bounceouts, overall this is a very good board. When your darts are pulled from the board some type of dust seems to come out with them and can make a bit of a mess inside your case. The outer ring (with the numbers) tends to come loose and has to be re-adjusted much more often then it should be. Other then that, the board performs as expected, and as I said with very few bounceouts.

Better than the 'Blade III' in my opinion,

I've been playing darts for several years now and the Bandit has been my favorite board for the last 3 or 4 of them. Our league recently changed over from the Bandit to the Winmau Blade III, and we've been getting significantly more bounce outs since we switched. The frame (recessed in both boards) seems stronger in the Bandit--the top of one of our Winmau D20s has been bent down by darts wiring out and pushing the frame inwards in only a couple months of tournament play, which makes doubling in and out much more challenging (easily fixed by rotating the board, but who wants a bent frame?). Both boards are excellent overall and I'd recommend either above others I've played on; but while the Winmau might have a more classic 'look', in terms of overall quality and function, I'd definitely give the nod to the Bandit.

i'm no pro, but this board is great,
This review is from: Bandit Dart Board (Sports)
this is my first bristle board, so i don't have much knowledge for comparison, but i would definitely reccommend it. the wires are super thin and are white to help visibility. due to the thin wires, i can't remember the last time i had a bounce out. after a year, it still plays really well. i did have to modify the back stops a bit so that it would stay tight against the wall and thus remain quiet.

I've been using my board heavily for the last 2 months and the board is excellent. I've had only 1 bounce out. The board is holding together very nicely, no staples and very thin spider make this a great board. I'm sold on this one for the future as well as the friends that come over to play on it.

Great for steel tips, not for soft tips,

A group of friends and I have used a few electronic soft-tip boards with the plastic face with little holes--you know the kind I'm talking about, right? Well we decided to go for this bristle board after reading the claims that bounce-outs are virtually eliminated and that you can use bristle boards with soft OR steel tips. We all found this board a little frustrating. ...that is, until we made the switch to steel. Oh, it's a beautiful thing now! Bounce outs are indeed very few and far between. Now if I could just throw a bit more consistently... ;)
PROS: Spider is very thin and bounce-outs are very rare Darts are easy to pull back out after your throw The number ring can be pulled off and rotated so that the board wears more evenly Unless you play a WHOLE LOT, you aren't going to need to rotate the number ring because the board doesn't wear out very quickly at all CONS: If you hit the inner bull spider, you may knock it out of skew a little. This is easy to fix, though, so it isn't a big deal (just don't hurt your fingers by pressing on it too hard--it is sharp!) Overall, a great board--no complaints. Recommended!

Great board,

I have played on many boards and this is one of my favorites. The bristles are tight and the lack of staples on the rings keeps shots from flying off the board.
I really like it.

residue on board?,

Board is fine, but there is some type of residue on random sections that would not come off. Returned the first one. Second one was better but still had the same problem, just a lighter shade not as noticable. Decided just to keep it instead of hastle with another return. Kind of expected better quality from what is tagged as one of the best.

A superior dart board with the best mounting system that I have seen,

This is quite simply the best overall dart board that I have even seen. Starting with the mounting kit it was clear that I was working with a product that has creative and competent people working for it. There is a rubberized plastic bracket that you install first. The bracket is perfectly centered for the board, so when you place your first screw in at 5' 8", you know that the bulls eye will end up there as well. Once the bracket is installed (proper screws are included but I used my own wall anchors), you simply slide the board in to the bracket and you are all set. The unique design of this bracket allows you to rotate the board in to perfect position. Even if you put the bracket in a little lopsided, it doesn't matter - the Board will still hang true.
The Board itself is wonderfully resistant to the daily abuse of having heavy darts constantly flung at it. The bristles look brand new even after weeks of heavy use. I have not had a single bounce back yet. The complete absence of staples is only partly responsible for this. The bands between board segments are so fine that they pose no problem for darts. I will be ordering a second board shortly to replace the worn out board at my office. That board was described as 'bristle style' board. Buyer beware - make sure that the board you buy is an actual 'bristle board' rather than a cheap imitation.

I've used many boards over the years but have found this one to be the best I've ever used. Very few bounce outs and the frame has held up well. I use this one to play with and the Bandit Trainer for training, also a very good board. I would and have recommeded these boards to all my dart playing friends. Hope this helps...

I was sold on the Winmau Blade III, until I met the Bandit. Hands down the best board on the market. The entire board is virtually flush, all of the wires are en-grained inside the bristles. You can no longer use bounce outs as an excuse :)
