I started with Smith's pocket 3-tool knife sharpener, then got a 1200 Japanese waterstone, then got this. If this didn't work, I probably would have just looked for a smooth rock outside.

This is the product that clearly worked.

I got this for my daily carry, its coarse but not so much that it leaves micro burs on the blade. I used it probably 15 times so far and I only gave it 4 stars because the back side of the flip part hits the knife as you drag it by lifting it off the stone, I shaved it down so its good now.

Great little sharpener...

This is a convenient little sharpener. Easy to keep in your pack or in a drawer. It does exactly what you would expect out of a coarse sharpener. Worth the price.

Great product for reestablishing a edge on work knives. Bring back back the working edge quickly.

First sharpener that I could make work without a major operation. Put on a couple drops of watter and it brings the blade back to life. Best to get the fine and coarse for really dull knives. Not as good as a professional sharpening but 90% is OK for me.

A great tool to have when you can't carry a larger sharpener with you into the field. Small compact yet easy to carry on your person... Highly recomended...
