I like these diamond file sharpener, and it's handy to have two different roughnesses to sharpen my tools. I use them for pruners and knives, and while it takes a little while to get the hang of using them (you generally have to take apart your pruners to get the best angle), these Diafold's do the job well and don't easily break, though they wear down pretty fast if you use them a lot.

This diafold is a "must have" if you want to sharpen a damaged blade or reprofile an existing edge. Use with the Magna-guide to establish an edge that looks like a factory grind.

This stone is a must if you ever plan on re-profiling a blade. I recently used it to get a big nick out of a clever. It took about 5-10 minutes on the extra coarse side but it was a pretty big nick. Once the re-profiling was done i moved up through the finer grits and had it sharpened in no time.

I have used a lot of knifes over the years and always keep a pocket knife in my pocket. I never leave the house with out it and I always sharpen it.
This sharpener is absolutely incredible. 3 slides on each side 3 times and flip it over to the fine side and 3 times on each side and it is razor sharp.

This product works great, just make sure to dry after use - mine rusted a bit after leaving it to air dry on the counter.

Used this to put on a new edge on a knife. It puts the shaving out quite uniformly. Study construction - thick plastic. Hope that helped.

I purchased this sharpener with the kit that keeps the angles consistent.

Using the two together, this sharpener took a 20+ year old knife that would have made a pretty good club, and made it dangerous again!

I honestly believe this will put a blade on just about anything.

I haven't used it long enough to give you a "test of time" report, but it's been great so far!

Be careful though - the "extra rough" side will wear metal away quickly. It definitely takes the burrs out of a blade!

I bought this to use to dress the edge on my axe and machete. Works great dry and gets out small nicks in the blade quickly. It can be lubricated with water but do make sure you clean it with warm water after a few uses.
