With just a few strokes of the diamond surface, you'll achieve clean and crisp edges. Compact, easy-to-carry only 70mm x25mm x 5mm. Kit of 3 stones include: Extra-Coarse diamond (60 micron / 220 mesh) when significant removal of material is needed for a damaged edge. Coarse diamond (45 micron / 325 mesh) to quickly restore a neglected edge. Fine diamond (25 micron / 600 mesh) for a razor sharp edge. No messy oils needed--use dry or with water. Too small unless you are 12 years old and have little fingers. Did not fit most sharpener holders. Should be sold with the holder it is designed for, or at least indicate which one to buy.

As amazon.com shows the DMT diamonds files with the "Burr Doctor" I shought it implied they are to be used for it. It turns out is is half the size of thefiles. I called DMT and it turns out the "Burr Doctor" is not for the files (or vise versa). The files are used with a larger edge sharpener.
