For those who want DNA HEALING and not a science textbook,
By Spiritlight "Spiritlight" (Denver, CO United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The DNA of Healing: A Five-Step Process for Total Wellness and Abundance (Paperback)
I bought this book based on the excellent reviews of most readers who posted here, and I must say I am pleased. This book absolutely explained mysteries that have plagued me for *years,* putting the pieces together in a way that I have not previously come across in my 13 years of seeking on the spiritual path.
The DNA healing process at the end of the book really surprised me, taking me in directions I could not have anticipated. Childhood memories I had long forgotten came up to be resolved, and it was then that I realized I *had* these deeper issues needing to be healed--perhaps the very reason my countless 24/7 efforts have had such minimal results. As for this book not being about DNA, as one reviewer commented, all I can say is that if you are drawn to this book for deep spiritual healing purposes, I believe you will find what you're looking for. If you are seeking a DNA textbook or an in-depth discourse on biology, then perhaps a revision in search terms will lead to you to something more along those lines. As for me, I will enthusiastically reiterate what I told my sister: BUY IT! (p.s. She very happily did! :)

A quantum leap in self-healing!!,
By
This review is from: The DNA of Healing: A Five-Step Process for Total Wellness and Abundance (Paperback)
Margaret Ruby has once again taken a complex subject and explained it in a way that is understandable, comprehendible, and most of all, usable. Her five-step process identifies and removes those limiting "stories" from our DNA which allows us (who are ready) to make massive shifts in our lives. We know we can truly take responsibility for our own self-healing.
I was able to note distinct changes in my energy levels. I use these techniques with my clients and have witnessed rapid healing. My clients marvel at the accuracy of the patterns these techniques reveal. Many have pioneered and contributed to the "DNA" body of work but this book takes it that extra step forward. Margaret Ruby is truly on the forefront of the next wave. This book is a "must have" in any healer's library. The DNA of Healing will be the cornerstone for future models of health, wellness and abundant success. Dr. Lee

It may help you, but nothing revolutionary in this book,

This review is from: The DNA of Healing: A Five-Step Process for Total Wellness and Abundance (Paperback)
Over the years I have explored, studied and used techniques for change and healing from different esoteric traditions originating from all over the world. They have ALL worked for me, and they all work for anyone who has a genuine intent to have a desired change. They are all based on the same universal principles that are pointed out even in the Bible and have been known long before the Bible was written. You may be familiar with the statements "As you believe, so it is", or "As you think in your heart, so it is" - belief is nothing more than that which you have accepted as true for yourself in your heart. In self-help book written throughout centuries, what you think in your heart has been replaced with words "subconscious", or "energy field" and while the author of DNA of Healing, sometimes uses these terms in her book, she has for the most part used the term "DNA" in that same context.
The methods described in the book DNA of Healing, also work because they are based on the same universal principles and for the most part, throughout the bulk of the book, the author is sharing the information that has been around for a long time, except that she uses the DNA slant. Other books may say you're programming your subconscious mind, or your energy field (and there are many other terms in other esoteric traditions for the same thing), the author here is guiding you through the programming your DNA. Putting a different label on the same thing doesn't make the process revolutionary, or turns it into cutting edge technology. Over the years as I studied different techniques for change, I have encountered some that were very complex, some involved all sorts of external rituals, and some involved all sorts of internal rituals - and I have come to appreciate those that were the simplest. All that complex things do is perhaps enhance the belief system of those who have difficulty believing that something as utterly simple as a genuine heartfelt intention can be effective. In this book, the author has taken that which is simple and turned it into a more complex process. She suggests that the problems you may be experiencing originate in your past and are passed genetically to you through your ancestors and that the most effective way to eliminate them is by revisiting, shall I say, the original sin, and eliminating it. The Five-Step Process involves kind of a "paint your past by numbers" method akin to looking up an oracle (using a Tarot card, I Ching, or simply opening a dictionary and randomly picking a word, or even playing word-association game may do the same trick) to find which ancestor may be to blame for the original sin, the consequences of which you are suffering in the present moment - at which point you go thorugh a process like ablution of sins to clean the slate and create a life you desire. to create the "paint your past by numbers", the author has assembled bits and pieces from other traditions and therapeutic modalities and used them primarily as a framework - five elements from Chinese tradition, seven chakras from Indian tradition, Jungian archetypes. This diversity of elements is perfect for a writing workshop and reminds me of the books for screenwriters for generating ideas - you have a list of a number of characters, a list of possible plots, a list of elements for building drama, etc. In the same way, the five elements from Chinese tradition, seven chakras from Indian tradition and Jungian archetypes are mentioned in this method to help you create your personal genetic history. The method may be as valid as any other for pulling the information out of your subconscious - after all the dreams you dream at night are created in pretty much the same manner. Now that you have a clear image the culprit who is obstructing your present happiness, you can proceed to get rid of him. Throughout the book are dispersed blurbs from research related to DNA, however they do not tie in directly with the method of transformation described in this book. The mention of research related to DNA is mainly incidental. These blurbs contain a generic idea that your thoughts and emotions influence your body. If you've had any brush with metaphysics, there is nothing revolutionary in this idea. If you've never used your mind to intentionally created changes in your body and in your life, then the idea may seem very well revolutionary to you. As I said, over the years I have come to appreciate simpler methods. I used to practice complex methods because they can be fun, but then long time ago I have discovered that it was enough to intend an outcome and it would happen, so I changed my approach. As for the books for change that are more my cup of tea that this one - one is from another Ruby - Door of Everything by Ruby Nelson, A Course in Miracles (guaranteed to wipe your slate clean), Instant Healing and Urban Shaman by Serge Kahili King, Life and Teaching of the Masters of the Far East by Baird T. Spalding. For those who still like to go visiting the origin of the problem, there is a lovely book by Irene Hickman, Mind-Probe Hypnosis. If you like to play with your imagination and work with five elements - there are a variety of fun books and videos by Mantak Chia - like Fusion of the Five Elements. For Jungian archetypes, among other books, there is a good book "Working with Archetypes", and there are many great books on working with chakras - I like "Advanced yoga practices - easy lessons for ecstatic living". Donna Eden's book and set of videos on "Energy healing" is awesome also.

Wow! This technique really works!
I have taken so many workshops, read tons of books, repeated affirmations incessantly . . .to break through whatever was holding me back from my full potential. Things were already OK in my life, but I knew there was more. I always felt there was a missing link I couldn't quite locate in order to access all that I can be. Well, let me tell you, this simple technique is like turning on a light switch! Releasing all those subconscious core beliefs! (I thought I had already done that!) This really changed my life; I now have a mission and career I feel PASSIONATE about, The LOVE Relationship of my dreams, and MONEY coming to me with grace and ease! Thank you Margaret Ruby for making this SO SIMPLE!!!

This review is from: The DNA of Healing: A Five-Step Process for Total Wellness and Abundance (Paperback)
When I first experienced the five-step technique in Margaret Ruby's book, my life changed with one process. The information is easy to understand, and the process is simple to do and the results are immediate. You don't have to wait for weeks or months or years for a change. One process did more for me than ten years of therapy. I wish this book had been available years ago. Most self help books tell you how it is possible to change but do not tell you how. This book gives very specific directions in locating what patterns are driving you and explains how buried patterns handed down from ancestor to ancestor has a direct impact on your life today, beliefs so deep not even the best therapist can discover the influence. This book shows you how to get to that information and, more importantly, how to remove the patterns that are not supporting you, allowing you to move on with your life.

DNA Patterns and Behaviour,
By
This review is from: The DNA of Healing: A Five-Step Process for Total Wellness and Abundance (Paperback)
This workbook guides the reader in identifying their inherited traumas and negative patterns, which are passed down from generation to generation through our DNA. Through guided meditations you are able to remove the influence of these inherited DNA qualities, which will free you from their negative impacts. This workbook is focussed primarily on the repatterning and reprogramming of your DNA and to assist the reader in clearing their energy field from "ancestral" issues, allowing you to break free of family hurts and beliefs. A very interesting read which encourages you to examine your own ancestral traits.

The DNA of Healing is a highly readable, scientifically accurate, and pragmatic approach to vibrational, emotional, and energetic healing. Margaret Ruby's unique gift is her ability to design processes which allow us to translate the scientific research related to DNA patterning into useful practices which ultimately empowers us to transform our lives.
