I have had this album since it first was released. It is a delightful musical based on the John Wayne/John Ford film "The Quiet Man." There are beautiful ballads, comedy numbers and several ensembles all done with wit and joy. The only let down is the title number that seems to have been tacked on because that was the practice of the day.

"Donnybrook" is one of the few musical recordings that has not been transferred to cd. Come on Kritzerland get going.
