Great hat, I'm very pleased. It adjusts quickly to your head size and feels quite firm. I did use some hook and loop tape and put a battery operated LED light on it.

Very nicely made hardhat, lightweight, comfortable, meets all ANSI standards for construction sites. I especially like the locking ratchet adjustment (I have to push a button to realease the ratchet), which allows me to expand enough to comfortably fit hat over winter headgear, but doesn't constantly expand on its own.

A tree branch hit my head while pruning a tree and it worked well, didn't even feel it. I guess I can't expect anything better. If you're going to do stuff like this, you need quality equipment like this, not something cheap. 'Nuff said..
