5.0 out of 5 stars I Can See Clearly Now
I purchased the Dewalt DPG55-11C Clear Anti-Fog Protective Safety Glasses with Dual-Injected Rubber Frame and Temples for eye protection in the OR. I am a 4th year medical student and was constantly struggling to find a pair of protective eyewear that would prevent anything from splashing into my eyes, not fog up, and be comfortable to wear for the 10-12 hour surgeries I...

3.0 out of 5 stars Decent
The anti-fog works pretty well, however, the temples adjust too easily and there's not enough anti-scratch coating.

I am a 4th year medical student and was constantly struggling to find a pair of protective eyewear that would prevent anything from splashing into my eyes, not fog up, and be comfortable to wear for the 10-12 hour surgeries I was scrubbing in on. These glasses provided all that and stayed put without sliding down my nose. I wish I had found these glasses sooner.

I was looking for a nice pair of wrap arounds that kept me from fogging them up. These did the trick!

The lenses are optically clear and the frame very stout. The temples adjust well for larger heads and the nose rest has a natural feeling. The glasses rest comfortbly on your head like a quality pair of Oakley sunglasses..

5.0 out of 5 stars Anti-fog works great in Hawaii, November 18, 2009

I have been using these glasses when using my trimmer, and they are very comfortable. All the adjustments allow for a great fit and the soft material that rests on the nose and touches the brow provides comfortable support without slipping. In Hawaii it can get a bit humid which gave me a chance to test the anti-fog feature, which has passed with flying colors. I would only recommend that one clean them with soap and water and then let them dry, and not use a cloth or paper of any kind to rub the lenses. Then you will end up with a scratch free surface that should last a long time.

I am in love with these. They fit perfectly, don't fog, and don't slip in the OR. The optics on them aren't the best, but for the money you can't ask for more. Perfect for anyone looking for cheap eyewear for surgery

The glasses are okay, but they have significant optical distortion. They would be a value at $5.00, but I would not recommend them at this price point.

5.0 out of 5 stars These are great!, November 23, 2011

I'm a nail tech and have a client with extremely sensetive eyes... the dust was making her question if it was worth getting her nails done! These are a LIFESAVER! No more tearing, and so comfortable she forget that she was wearing them. They did a great job of excluding particulate matter as well as the fumes from the polish.
She's now thinking of getting them to wear when cleaning her house!( Hmmm..... might be a good idea!) A quick wash in antiseptic solution and they look brand new......... They're super.

Awesome pair of protective goggles. I fog up glasses all the time and never believed in "anti" fog lenses. I have yet to experience normal, everyday "excessive" workday fogging. Unless I'm sweating and not cleaning my lenses or I work in a cold place and move to a warm place, these glasses don't fog up. I work in an environment that requires safety glasses all day and these are THE BEST I've ever had. The other cool feature is the adjustability. I don't remember reading this anywhere but not only do the temples telescope in and out for a more snug or loose fit, but they also tilt at the hinges which raise or lower the lenses on your face. SO COOL. And if that doesn't top all, the nose piece swivels at the hinge points to accommodate different bridge sizes so I can either have them snug up against my face or slightly raised off my face. If I had to state a "con" it would be my all time "too many moving parts" comment which I use because it's a natural flaw... the more moving parts something has, the more opportunity there is for broken parts. So far, these glasses have defied that theory but will let you know if anything changes. These glasses are worth the money if not a steal. All I need now is some attachment gimmick for a strong led inspection light on the temples or something.

I use these glasses when dealing with microorganisms (bacteria). These glasses are clear and haven't fogged up on me. My only complaint is that the glasses do not come inside a box, which would allow me to carry them inside my scrub a bit better. Other than that, these are great safety classes for most laboratories.
