DS Harvest Moon Starter Kit

First the good...its Harvest Moon, case protects DS, interchangeable inserts to give your DS a new look whenever you want, cute stylus and 3 game cases.

But the strap does not look like the picture, its black has no Harvest Moon writing on it, the cow kinda hangs from the side and its does not have that little piece that can tighten the strap to your wrist. The game cases do not look like I thought they would (they look like the case Guitar Hero comes in and not as colorful as the picture makes it look. the stylus is cute but hard to get out of the slot sometimes and awkward to hold (maybe I just need to figure out the best way for me to hold it)

I still like the product tho, the main thing it protects the DS from smudges, nicks and scratches with a harvest moon theme and the rest of the stuff are just "extras".

Well I have been a fan of Harvest Moon for years. I about died when I saw this, I had to have it. So I ordered and counted the days till it got here. When i got it I opened and looks it over.

1. The wrist strap is solid black with a cheap looking cow at the end.
2. The case itself is nice, but doesn't fit as snugly as one would want.
3. The stylus is hard to insert in the ds itself with the case on, and its so tight I noticed today that it has cracked my ds.

I take really good care of my systems, and I am now very upset that it was cracked because of a stylus made for it. The kit itself is really cute, and I would still love to have one, but it needs to be better made.

The case is both well-designed form-wise and very customizable, but there is one big problem with the design. The stylus fits too tightly when you have the cow case on the DS for it to be practical. It almost got stuck when I used them both! It also increases the weight of the DS enough that it seems like it could be very uncomfortable to use for an extended period of time.

There are several images that you can interchange for display on the front of the case, you could even use them as a template and design your own.

The game cases are cute, but they have one problem: they're very small. One of the advantages of using the usual sized DS game cases (the kind that can hold three game cartridges at a time) is that they are larger than the standard cartridge size, thus making them easier to keep track of. As you know, DS games are tiny, and thus easy to lose or misplace. These work fine, but they defeat one of the main reasons people use cases in the first place: combing portability with practicality. They are portable, but their size (or rather, the lack thereof) makes them rather impractical.

Overall, it's a very, very cute accessory set, and far more worth the high price than I expected it to be when I ordered it, but due to the numerous oversights in its design I'd only recommend it for the really die-hard Harvest Moon fan.

If you are a harvest moon fan, then this is a great item to have for your DS system. It has different covers to change to, and protects the DS, just as it should. I haven't had any problems with the item, other than the stylus is alittle bigger and is alittle hard to remove from the DS. Other than that its a great product. (On the Amazon page in the description it states it has 12 interchangeable and customizable graphics. However, it does not, it actually only has 7)

In my opinion this product isn't worth $20 or even $5. This is nothing more than a clear case with a handful of cardboard (YES! cardboard) inserts to change the design that shows through the case. The trinket on the end of the strap is made of cheap plastic and foam (like those plastic puffy stickers from the 80s). The best item in the kit is the stylus, but I wouldn't pay $5 for it either. It is too large to store in the DS or the case and it simply wouldn't be worth the hassle of having to keep up with it. Had the inserts been interchangeable DS skins instead of cardboard then it may have been worth it. Please don't be fooled! This is an extremely cheaply made product.

It is really cute, I must admit, but it is certainly not worth anything over 10-12 dollars. I bought my set, and I was really excited because of how cute it is, but then once I opened it, I was very disappointing. The stylus was okay, but not the same as the illustration on the box. The case is okay. They make it sound like there are 7 different cases or something in the description, but it's only a plastic case where you can put in little pieces of cardboard in. I wasn't very impressed. The cases are normal, they're alright. But the bracelet was very very disappointing. It's black and has no writing on it. The bracelet is really cheap and worth about 25-50 cents. Don't waste your money on this unless you have some special reason for it.

I've been seeing some of the reviews and I say, I have to disagree. I love every aspect of this item. The case, the interchangeable plates, just everyone. The black strap does have a little cow on it and the stylus is so cute! I don't know about the other people but I love this starter kit. Nice job Natsume!

I got this for 4.11 when it was on sale, and I enjoyed it. The casing is a clear front casing where you can change the paper underneath the hardcover. The back is a cow which I like a lot!

As other reviews have said, the inserts are just ink on paper.

I originally got this when it was on sale for $4.27 with free shipping. At ~$5, I think the product is worth it just for the case itself since other hard plastic cases go for about $10-$15. The case does fit snugly and the back cover also has a cow design, how cute :D

However, the cow stylus does not fit with the case on. Like other reviews say, inserting it with the case on cracks the case of the DS near the stylus slot. It's a hairline crack, probably like 1/5th an inch, so it's not very noticeable but still saddening. But keeping the cow stylus in with the case creates a lot of tension on the head of the stylus and ends up bending the plastic so the head snaps off too and all you're left with is a cow print plastic stick

Beware! I thought this was stickers for the DS, but it is just a plastic case with insertable cardboard pictures.
It's still cute though.
