I can't praise this enough product enough. I have seen 4 different gynecologists and none can figure out the horrible smell. I felt disgusting for 2 years. 2 days of using this and the smell is gone 95%. My husband used to smell it and I could smell it all day. Now, I feel clean and fresh and smell great even at the end of the day. I want to thank the people who made this..you gave me my confidence back! I am normal again!!!!!!!!

For years I have dealt with an unfresh feeling, irritation after shaving, and an unexplained discharge. I did alot of research before spending my hard earned money on something thats not gonna do what it advertises. So I came to amazon because the customer reviews have always be promising. Anyway I read a few about Nirena and decided to spend the $24 bucks, and after one use, im not itching,dont feel like im sweating down there or anything. I felt like i just got out the shower all day, no matter how many times i went to the bathroom, and even after being intimate with my guy. This stuff has to be the most amazing thing that ever happened to feminine hygene. Ladies seriously just get it. you wont be sorry and its well worth your money.

I tried this because I have IC and sometimes the itchiness was unbearable. Since so many of the reviews were 5 out of 5 here, I thought I'd give it a shot.

What a mistake!!!

It has a "mentholated" smell and "feel". After use, the "mentholated" feel down there does not feel good. I felt like I just used mouthwash but down there. The feeling stays for about 20 minutes. That's not necessarily something I couldn't deal with. My problem was the itchiness after about 5-10 minutes of using this. It was horrible. At first I thought it was my IC acting up. That's why I tried Nirena again. Every time I used it, 5-10 minutes go by and there is the itchiness... back with a vengeance.

The product also boasts that it has "totally naturally compounds". Has anyone looked at the ingredients? There's nothing natural about them.

I promptly got rid of it. I did find Canesten Feminine Wash. Unfortunately I found it on eBay in the UK. It's worth the money and the trip. It's a lot less expensive and since using it (about 2.5 months) not one flare up, no more itchiness.

I was a big fan of their original product. The original wash was a sort of brownish color and felt very "tingly" when applied. They seemed to have changed their formula to a white liquid that smells like chemicals and rose. The original smelled great. I am so disappointed as this was a great product.

I threw away the bottle and have since switched to Sliquid Splash unscented which is awesome!

After having multiple recurring issues with BV and my Dr. giving me a prescription that he said I might have to use once a week forever as a preventative measure, I tried this product. I did use the prescription to get rid of the current case, but once I started using the nirena, I've never had an issue again and it's been over a year. Love the stuff, have given away to my close girlfriends and my mother. You know, you're having a conversation and the very private subject comes up of too many antibiotics and now I have....

I purchased Nirena after reading all the good reviews. It didn't disappoint! I have to say this is the best product I have ever used for personal hygiene. As women age vaginal pH increases (becomes more alkaline) which can lead to increased odor and infections with Bacterial Vaginosis. It has to do with estrogen decline as women get older. Over time I have noticed more vaginal odor than usual despite having no infection? Since using Nirena it's gone! I think washing with a cleanser that's more natural and pH balanced like Nirena makes the vaginal environment healthier which means less odor.

I'm sorry to report that I'm experiencing a problem w/this product. Over the past couple of weeks I've developed vulvar itching. For the first time in many years I thought I was getting a vaginal yeast infection which is very rare for me. My itching would come and go but these symptoms coincided with my Nirena use. A medical specialist I saw said because Nirena is so effective at cleaning away bacteria from the vulvar region it may be removing too much good (beneficial) flora away with the bad odor producing bacteria which is creating an imbalance in/around my vulvar tissue (leading to the itching.) This is creating a minor yeast invasion around my vulva. I thought this was very interesting and could be very true. I'm going to stop using the Nirena for a week and see what happens. If the itching goes away then I know it was this product causing it. If so I cannot say how freaking bummed I am as I have not found another product as effective to remove vaginal odor.

This is an excellent product for irritated tissues. Continued use gets rid of irritation and redness. Highly recomended. I have been using this product for about 3 months and will continue to do so. Well worth the money.

Just to confirm the other reviewer's rating. I used to love this product but they have changed their formula, and in my own opinion it does not work as well as the original formula!! Smell is not good, and no more fresh and cool feeling after use. It's like regular... soap!

I fell in love with this product INSTANTLY. From the very first use, I feel cleansed, and refreshed. It's simply amazing. I'm very prone to infection and I vow to never be without this product. WOW!

This stuff is amazing! I love that it makes me feel fresh and clean all day long. It's totally worth the price tag and last a good while. It's gentle and effective. I give this 5 stars because it is the best feminine hygiene product I've ever used. It has improved my overall condition, although I didn't have any major issues to begin with. This is a keeper and I hope it sticks around for a very long time because this is a product I won't be without again.
