With all the success of the Nintendo DS system, there have been so mny different add-ons that also were made that absolutely continue to be just as reliable. But, for those who demand the best quality, they always go to Nintendo. That is also the case with the Nintendo DS Rumble Pak, a feedback device that allows players to feel the vibrations of the game. The device originally was included with Metroid Prime Pinball, and still is if you can find it. Sadly, there really aren't that many games compatable with the device, accept other standouts like Metroid Prime Hunters, the loop-puzzle game Magnetica and Super Princess Peach. I still love this accessory for the Nintendo DS, and if you have a Nintendo DS or DS Lite, than you'll love this too.

I bought this for use with my DS Lite, but I think its not really all that essential. The reasons are:

1. Lack of enough of a library of games that use the Rumble Pak
2. Not much force feedback from the Rumble Pak itself (its true that the Rumble Pak couldn't vibrate too much for a device that uses a stylus, but still there's almost no vibration it seems like)
3. The usage of the Rumble Pak is under-utilized (at least for the games I tried it on)

I could think of a number of ways the Rumble Pak could be used in the games I've played on the DS Lite, but so far its being under-used or not used at all in many games. That simple fact really knocks down the value for the Rumble Pak.

The Rumble Pack is so much fun.
Sadly there are not too many games that can come with the rumble pack.
But this is fun.

However I wonder what will happen the day that I will have to change my Nintendo DS for a Nintendo DS Lite.
Should I have to buy another Rumble Pack?
Hopefully when that day comes there will be still the posibility to buy the Clasic Nintendo DS.

Who knows.

...but be warned that, like a Game Boy Advance game pak, the Rumble Pak sticks out a little bit if you're using it in a DS Lite, hence the 4-star rating. A version made specifically for the DS Lite was released in Japan, and hopefully will be released in the US at some point, but until then, there's not much we can do except deal with it or do without.

I got metroid prime pinball and it came w/ this. The game is pretty bad but kinda ok the rumble pak is GREAT and it seems like im playing on a TV system. Alothugh like the post beneath this one, not many games can use this....

i didn't buy this but they are trying to sell it for seventy dollars where as a new copy of metroid prime pinball comes with a rumble pack and costs about half as mutch plus you get the game
