4.0 out of 5 stars A very useful academic software, December 9, 2004

This review is from: DS for Windows (2nd Edition) (Plastic Comb)
DS for windows 2nd edition lets to know different quantitative methods and operations management quantitative tools. The aggregate planning module is very interesting, because its flexibility. Other useful tools are the Proyect Management module which includes several methods and graphs, Layout, Line balancing, MRP, among others. But I found some modules very simple, as Simulation (only lets to generate the random numbers), inventory models. Also, the software shows independent modules. I would recommend H Weiss to develop the integration of modules, this would be very valuable for students. In general terms, the software is a good product to introduce students in the operations management field an also for operations research courses.
