Fantastic Product,

I have no idea why one would say that this is ineffective. I have had my cover on my Dish Network disk for over 2 years. My dish is at the end of the roof where tons of rain and snow are. The signal only fades during heavy rainstorms and in heavy snowstorms. The fading is related to the heavy precipitation and not due to the cover. My mom and my brother have dishes with no cover and they must periodically remove snow. I do not. I would suggest that the cover is tightened if there is an accumulation. This is a great product!

Great Product,

This product really works. Before installing this dish cover, when it rained heavy or snowed, the satellite signal would drop out and leave me with a blank television screen. Since installation, the picture is perfect no matter the weather. I recommend this product to anyone who has reception problems during winter months!

More Trouble Than Nothing At All,

This product deserves less than 1-star. A light rain beads on the cover and attenuates the signal enough to stop reception. Snow collects on the cover as fast as it did on the dish - and it takes less snow on the cover to stop reception. I have worked with covers on large commercial microwave dishes. The concept does work. If you always have exceptionally dry snow and when it rains it pours (no sprinkles, no mist). This cover might work - but so would no cover.
