I wanted a product like this very much; the layout was perfect. The specifications list various pc operating systems, not one of my Macs, but this is a keyboard, not an elaborate mechanism. Maybe. it did not say explicitly that it would not work on a Mac.

And it came with no instruction. When I plugged it in, there were three options, none with any explanation. I took the "Japanese" option on the Mac running OS 10.6, and an unknown option on the 10.5 machine.

In both cases it incorrectly displayed the data on the spreadsheet, converting all dates to the number format and displaying formulas, not results. Arrrrgh..

It worked fine on a pc.

Bought this numeric keypad while still using XP -- I really missed my keypad on my full-sized keyboard. It hooked up to XP without a hitch, just like you would expect. But when I switched operating systems from Windows to Ubuntu 9.04 (Jaunty Jackalope), I was a little worried that Ubuntu wouldn't recognize this USB device. Not to worry -- it saw it immediately and I am a happy camper. I'm still happy, and I'm now running 9.10 (Karmic Koala).
