I am so mad! I RARELY get something online (especially accessories) that are not ripoffs!
This charger says "nintendo" on it but I really doubt it. 1.) It is advertised showing the nintendo box that it would have come in if it was indeed a nintendo product, but it came in a plastic bag with nothing to suggest it came from nintendo originally. 2.) As was stated by another observant reviewer, the cord is several inches shorter that an original, which sucks because they are too short to begin with! 3.) the fit is not as snug to the DSi, which is just sub par and not typical to nintendo standards. 4.) The prongs that go into the wall are a different color from the unit (unlike the original) and are loose and rattle and make cracking noises when moved back to the closed position. Everything smacks of PIRACY and cheap quality. People should look more closely before giving positive reviews; not to be anal but to not get duped by ripoffs and help others avoid it. I'm stupid because I stopped before reading the TRUE info about this product that I am confirming now (I wont be surprised when it just stops working). I am reporting it to amazon. I hate waiting for something and it ends up a piece of crap.. no matter how inexpensive it is. DO NOT BUY! GO TO BEST BUY AND GET THE BOXED REAL THING FOR $19.

I just received my son's dsi wall charger today 8/12/2010. I definitely recommend this charger, it is the same as the original that came with the dsi when I bought it. And it is at a affordable price. It works perfectly, no complaints. I give it ***** 5 stars.

Stay clear of this item if you want the item as pictured----It's not as pictured....I ordered this assuming a "Picture is worth 1000 words"...Well, guess what?? When they arrived, they are not the Nintendo brand AC's as pictured....These come in a white bag and not in the Nintendo DSi AC Box as shown....So don't assume you are going to get the item as pictured---It didn't happen that way to me

These adapters for hte DSi work just fine. They don't seem to last long so I bought two this time. This is the third and fourth adapter for it and we just got it in December (7 months ago).

Not the right charger! The charger box says DSI charger, but when you open it, it turns out to be a charger for the previous generation of DS. So it won't fit with the DSI. I neglected to read the reviews before buying this. Won't make that mistake again.

Nintendo has never produced a product of this quality. No box first of all as shown in the picture, and there is no visible plastic on the prongs that would go into the wall. the actual product has different color swivel out prongs with plastic covering a third of the prong. hold it up to the picture and do the comparison. Returning this for a refund for sure.

The writer Baiter hit the nail on the head. The box in this Amazon ad shows how an original Nintendo A/C adapter is sold in the US market. The charger I received was packed in a sealed poly bag. A close look revealed that this adapter is made for the JAPANESE market. All the writing in the back side of the adapter is in Japanese. In addition, I could not find the U/L symbol. The voltage requiremnts on it were 100V-240V which is European. It should read 110V which is printed on the back of an original Nintendo USA version charger. The cord is also shorter than the US version. I promptly returned the adapter to Amazon and received a prompt refund. I also informed Amazon that the ad is VERY mis-leading because it shows the real USA version Nintendo box, but the purchaser receives a Nintendo adapter made for Japan which was packed in that poly bag. My suggestion is to just buy the original Nintendo adapter from a local retailer like Best Buy, Wal-Mart, Target, etc. for a few bucks more. This way, you know you will be getting the real deal and have no unnecessary hassles. I should also mention that this charger was sold by Amazon through a third party merchant.

This is just what I needed. Great price and fast shipping like always from Amazon. I was a little nervous about this purchase as another reviewer said this was not the officially licensed Nintedo product but it is. It is not a cheap imtitaion it is exactly the same thing that came with the DSI. As for durability I can not tell you because I just got it. But the one that came with the DSI only lasted 8 months so I guess maybe they don't have a long life.

When it has came down to the Nintendo DS, it has been the hottest-selling game system on the maket for on the go gaming, and even has outdone the big boys like the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360. That case with the Nintendo DSi has also been made to be as dominant. It really has scored well with video game lovers. But for all of the hype, there are very few 3rd party accessories that have been well-worth buying. The Nintendo DSi adapter, which only works for the DSi, and not the other DS systems, is definitely well-worth the Nintendo brand. It is easy to setup, and plugs in easily to your outlet at home. It also works well charging up, and letting you play your favorite games, while setting up, and even when you want to download a great title through the Nintendo DSi shop. If you lose the one that came with the Nintendo DSi, the Nintendo one is really the best bet to buy if something goes wrong with the original DSi adapter. So charge up the DSi, and play hard.

I bought this in summer for my son's DSI when we forgot the cord on vacation. The one i rec'd does NOT work with the DSi. It worked with my daughter's DS lite. I ordered it in August 2011.
