well made. strong springs. great trap especially for larger game.i like to cover any scent on the trap with the urine of the animal you just cught. pretty soon another will be sniffin around it again. worth its weight in salt

When I got the traps they did not work very well. The trigger bar that went into a grove was curved up and dug into the grove. This made it hard to trigger. I ground the curved up part until the trigger bar was smooth and now the trap works great. Cut out a space with a 2x4 and now I can set it and now I have a great trap. Initially it was ...
Hard to set and harder to trigger. I think in needs and elephant to trigger. Racoons and possums can't trigger it unless you can get them to jump up and down on it. I think this trap might make it as a paper weight.
Now its great.

Used this to catch the raccoon getting into the garbage. It works fine, although for most people's needs I would recommend using a more humane trapping method. (when I checked the trap I couldn't help but notice he'd chewed his own paw off trying to free himself; I'm no peta nut, but this rubbed me the wrong way a little)
But aside from that it is very cheap and reliable and very easy to use. Just set it and leave. After setting, make sure you check it often.

I been trapping for a while and i've had alot of traps but this is one of the best

This trap works very well I ordered 15 of them to cut down my carnivore problem. because i raise turkeys, chickens, and pigs on average i would loose about 3 of my animals a week. Excluding my pigs on average I would loose a pig or 2 a year. the morning after I set the traps I found a raccoon, and about a week after that I caught 2 coyotes in one night. I am very satisfied with these traps they are very strong and will hold any animal that steps in them (as long as its foot will fit in the trap and it is anchored properly). I gave this product only 4 stars though because they rust fairly easily. though it doesn't really affect the trap all that much its still has slight inconveniences. but over all another great product from Duke company. and i would highly prefer this trap to anyone with medium game problems.

This trap is great. I used it to kill a squirrel that had chewed its way through our convertible top. It worked just great!

Although not the intented critter, the first night had results. Would have prefered a size #1

never arrived. they refunded me back pretty quick. i want to order again but i am most likely going to go with a different seller.

This is horrable. ive never seen a piece of CRAP like this. the pin to hold the jaws down is a inch 2 short. so i set it up in my building overnight, came back the next morningto work on it, and the piece of CRAP had rusted all to pieces. this item isnt worth the metal thats on it.
