I am very happy with the quality. It is not cheap, but the quality of the pieces is very apparent. It will run for 2 minutes and then stop if not played with. That is a nice feature. It will stop if you pick it up. It makes whistle sounds from time to time. It makes a "glug glug" sound when you fill it up.

My 4 year old and 6 year old both like to play with it.

My only complaint would be that I need more track now and a bridge. It is a bit expensive but it is not made in china and it is well made. A quality toy well worth the cost.

I gave this train set to my 2.5 year old daughter for Christmas. The box make a great presentation of the train. She was very exited when she opened it. She really gets a kick out of the fuel up sound that it makes when the gas pump handle is put in the fuel tank. Even her big sister, a girly girl, likes playing with the little men and train station.
