I have been buying the Duplo Lego for my 2 1/2 years old grandson. His sister who is 5 years old likes Horses. The Duplo Lego farm and trucks sets are a blats with them. They built a whole equestrian area for my Grand Daughter horses and my grandson get his trucks to work on the site. I think that with Duplo you can mix and match sets and reach kids of all ages. They are solid, easy to put together, colorful and fun.

My 5 year old daughter loves horses and Legos, so we figured this would make a perfect Christmas present for her. Not a whole lot of building required on this, but it's large and provides a great platform to expand from with the Duplo blocks we already have. Only had this a day so far, but I expect my daughter and even my 7 year old son will enjoy this for few more years.

My 2 1/2 year old is already into horses due to her brother's equine-itis and his sharing that passion with all of his sisters. My older daughters also have the Belville lego pieces. I was excited to find "horse legos" for my 2 year old as well, so that she doesn't feel left out of all the "horsing around" of her 5 older siblings. I think the set is a bit pricey for what you get, but as another reviewer said, combined with all the other sets of different themed legos, we have an entire farm for her and her sibs to enjoy playing together. She plays alone or with them, all imagination, creatively, and fun for hours and hours and hours each day. We homeschool, so these keep her quiet and happy for a long time if we are in the middle of lessons and she has to play alone for a bit. Love this set...

We've had this toy for 3 years now and it is terrific. My youngest loves to play with it and her older sisters will play with her. We bought it to supplement a basic block set and play with it often. It has held up perfectly and encourages imaginative play. The set is not huge, but has a nice combination of pieces, as shown in the product photo.
