OPPO BDP-93 Universal Network 3D Blu-ray Disc Player

DVD-Audio Bass Mgmt on Oppo Can anyone who has used this product tell me whether the HDMI output provides any bass management when playing DVD-Audio disks? On my old player, I had to use 6 analog outputs to get true bass response. I am hoping that HDMI solves this issue, but haven't seen any evidence either way.

I'm not sure if I understand your question. The BDP-93 has only outputs, not inputs so you can't connect audio or video into it. Unless your thinking about connecting to the SATA input?

The user manual states that the bass management settings only effect the analog audio outputs. When connected via HDMI, you'll need to use the bass management settings in your receiver. See page 69 of the user manual for more details:

Will I be able to connect my cable box (Comcast) DVR directly through the BP-93 to my 40" Sony so I can use external speakers at all times? Speakers are older Bose Acoutimass system.
