5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent product to repair Wii disks
I used this product to repair two severily scratched Wii disks. Even the disks have deep scratches, after 6 repairs they worked perfectly ( the instructions said two repairs and check the disks in the console).
As a reminder, the instructions have a note about not using this product with Blueray or PS3 disks.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not worth it...
Do not get this unless you are prepared to do ALOT of buffing and willing to spend lots of time to repair the scratches on your disk. I have minor scratches on my dvd's and I was going to sell a few and wanted them to be perfect so the buyer wouldn't send it back; they all played like new and didn't skip in the first place. But I used it and I felt like I was ruining my...

4.0 out of 5 stars Good for Minor to Moderate, January 20, 2010
This review is from: DVD Dr. Classic Disc Repair System (Electronics)
Bought this to repair an xbox 360 game that had been scratched by the machine due to the console tipping during operation. Left a nice circle scratch. Tried many of the you tube methods (all failed) and so bought this product. Worked like a charm. The scratch is gone.

However, I am sure that this will only fix mild to moderate scratches. Any deep scratches and I say move on and buy another copy.

Somewhat pricey (due to being one of only a few fixers in existence) but worth it.

5.0 out of 5 stars amazing, January 25, 2011
This review is from: DVD Dr. Classic Disc Repair System (Electronics)
this product worked well on the games I had. it fixed a game I had no hope of fixing I had used every method to clean the game but it did not work. then I used this not expecting any results but it worked amazingly it worked on my xbox 360 ps2 and cd's and they work with no skipping or freezing like they used to. the only down side is trying to sell them people don't like the look of them because it makes more in the process but it is suppose to.
the product is very great better than anything else I have seen

This is the best idea for your cd's i have used this on wii games that we thought needed thrown away because the wii didn't even recognize them and on dvd's that wouldent even load. It took 3 times through the Skip Dr to get the worst of them working but saving one wii game is cheaper than replacing it.

I just bought this exact model the other day at my local Best Buy. It was smaller than I thought but that was o.k with me. I went planning to buy the electric one but they did not have that one and I figured that I might as well save the money because this particular one is abut ten dollars less. In the box you get the machine, the bottle of lubricant spray, a foam pad to buff, and a microfiber cloth to dry the disk. To start the repair disk you first open a little platform in which the disk lays on in the front of the machine. Second, you need to spray the disk (DVD, CD, Games, etc.) generously with the included "rejuvenating" spray which is technically to lubricate the entire process. One complete you then need to insert the disk firmly into the "slot" in the front, and turn the crank handle in a clockwise direction for abut two or three full rotations. Then To complete the repair process, you need to wipe the disk dry using the microfiber cloth, and then buff the disk with the foam square rubbing from the INSIDE OF THE DISK TO THE OUTSIDE! doing other wise will and can result in damage to the disk. It will only get rid of some of the lighter and more obvious scratches and abrasions. The machine causes very minor light scratches that run around the disk from the inside to the outside. THIS IS NORMAL AND ABSOLUTELY NORMAL. FORGET the negative reviews about " Oh this darn thing completely ruined my disk and the dvd player will not even recognize the disk". Some times I have a disk that I run through that will still skip occasionally but it never has destroyed any of the 50 or so disks I have cleaned.

PROS:
-Small
-easy to use
-Works (most of the time)
-saves me money
-cheap

CONS:
-buffing wheel wares down quickly
-not that much lubricant that comes with it
-slow process

1.0 out of 5 stars Avoid this like the plague, January 8, 2011

I had a scratched copy of Gran Torino that would skip so I spent $10 to buy this to clean it. After using DvdDr., my Gran Torino is not smudgy and now unreadable. I returned this product and used the $10 to buy a new Gran Torino. This product will BREAK your DVDs. Do not buy for any reason.
