Do not buy this item. The player itself was fine. The remote, not so much. The buttons stick immediatley and are no longer usable. What good is a remote if you can't use it? Unfortunately, the player can only be used by the remote. So, this product is useless!! Yea, it's only $30, but don't you think you would be able to get through a movie without the remote breaking? I am a foreign film fanatic so I needed to buy a DVD player to support my fixation. This is not the one to buy. Save your money and shop elsewhere. Actually, I would not buy from this company period. The player is sold by "DiscountJungle" from California. I guess the name says it all. It's complete garbage and I will NEVER buy from them again. I hope this review helps. I don't hate; simply an honest consumer!

I opened the box, setup the device, installed the batteries, and the remote did not work. The DVD drawer would stick during open and close. The first DVD I watched the picture and sound were not in sync. The second movie I watched...same. Then when the movie was over, the eject drawer opened (and stuck, I had to nudge with finger to "unstick")...but the tray's "grooves" to hold the CD are so shallow (the intelligent engineers did not design a "stop" to prevent this) that the CD slid off the drawer and inside the player. I had to remove all the screws and disassemble the metal cover just to extract my DVD. I immediately threw this poorly engineered wonder in the trash...and bought a name brand. Advise: Sony, Pioneer, Toshiba...they all make multi-region DVD players you can buy on Amazon for $40 to $60 USD. Dont waste your time with this no-name brand item.

The misleading description says that the DVD player plays DVDs from all around the world! It plays none! I called the company back and complained! Returned the item, but NEVER got my money back as I promised!!!
