they are super comfy (padded tongue is great) but not made to last. I guess if you only wore them to skate and didn't walk around in them much, they'd last a lot longer. I have worn them to go to work (a mile away) maybe 10 or 12 times, and the bumps on the ball of the foot are completely worn off. :-(
