I bought one of these pest repellers a year ago for my kitchen to get rid of the large cockroaches and it worked! I've only maybe once or twice seen another cockroach. At the time I didn't have a mouse problem but a couple of months ago I saw a tiny mouse in my studio apartment so I quickly bought another repeller (one for the kitchen, one for the bedroom). It hasn't worked at all. After the first mouse died (in my closet) there's now a new mouse running about!

Noisy but effective,

Seems to be working pretty good. Still have rodents in other parts of the house but the kitchen, where we put this, is rodent free. For some odd reason, it did not take the couple of weeks that I've heard it takes. Okay with me. It is noisy, sounds kinda like a clock, but the noise isn't loud or annoying.

Works for Ants, NOT mice,

We use to have one of these and never had an ant problem. However, we did have mice for awhile (they found an opening through the fireplace) so this does NOT work for mice like it says. Our roommate who owned this Pest-Repel moved out and took it with him. We started getting ants throughout the apartment about 2 months afterwards. I ordered one for myself and now the ants are gone. Hurray!

Not long enough yet--but promising,

There seems to be a marked decrease of roaches (the chief reason I purchased this) but there are still some that need to be gotten rid of. When I first got it, I waited till I saw a roach before I turned it on--the roach kinda went nuts--so it does affect them.
Since its been less than a month since I turned it on, I can't say one way or the other whether its totally effective since the product info says it may take longer, but it certainly does seem to be affecting the number of them around. I am seeing less than I used to, and the quiet ticking it produces is hardly noticeable--unless you're listening for it, or the room where it is is absolutely totally quiet. For the money it costs, this unit is worth a try. It certainly does beat the repeated cost and possible danger of chemical use.

This device actually worked better than I expected at the price. I got one for my deck, which is about 20 x 10', due to carpenter bees in the day, and spiders and cockroaches at night.
It has been pretty effective with the carpenter bees. At first I thought they were completely gone but I have seen ONE since plugging in the Pest-A-Repel. Considering that before, I couldn't even sit peacefully in a chair without the bees buzzing around my head, this is definitely an improvement. There is also an improvement in the spider webs, which normally when I open the back door at night I would get one in the face if I didn't wave my hands around like a lunatic. So far no spider webs, at least not near the door or area where I sit. So far it hasn't affected the roaches that come out at night but I'm taking a wait and see attitude. The instructions say it can take a few weeks to start working fully, and it's only been about 2 weeks. Even if it doesn't affect the roaches I feel this was a good value.

I originally bought this for the annoying tiny gnat like bugs, the kind that are attracted to light. They covered my back screened in porch and were a mess. I plugged it in and walla, they were gone. So I thought I would try it in the barn where, since my horse died, is now a cat house. The barn is an open type barn. Just a dirt floor and I am surrounded by raw land on all sides. The cockroaches, I live in Fl. and the red fire ants were all in the food but I at first thought this would be a great place to feed the stray cats. I built shelves just to keep ants and things out of the food. Didn't work. I tried pest repel thinking, I doubt it but it's worth a try. Ants down here are really hard to kill and control. It even got rid of ants. I don't see any cockroaches but I did have wasps and it didn't run those off. I had to kill those and I found some roaches hiding behind a piece of plywood that was leaning up against the barn wall. Actually a ton of them hid back there. It took a few days, but now there are only a couple of tiny ones. I think those will eventually leave also. That is unreal with a barn sitting in a field basically. So, I will be ordering 2 more. I don't know how long the product lasts though. I only just bought it so I can't help with that. I can tell you it is smaller than a glade plug in, very tiny thing to do so much. No noise or anything. Just the little light that blinks. Just plug it in.

The Pest-a-repel really works. I knew I needed one when others told me they had watched mice avoiding the one classroom that had a pest-a-repel installed. Since installing my own, I haven't seem any mice or their evidence.

Don't waste your money. I got rid of the little pests by first finding the hole where they were coming in and cramming it with steel wool. I haven't seen them since. But it had NOTHING to do with this device. I had it plugged in for about a month and they were still coming inside just as often. It didn't appear to even phase them.

When we moved into our house we realized we had a roach problem. We tried as many things as we could to try to get rid of them. The Pest-A-Repel hasn't worked from the day we got it. We've seen roaches sitting right in front of the device, seemingly unaffected. I would not recommend this device to anybody who has roaches because it does not work.

I've been having one for several months. Mice are still around :( very close to the repeller. The sound doesn't bother me, but the mice do.
