Don't pass this one by.,

These were recently being sold at Staples in an end cap for about $20 each. I use it for work and labeling around 10-15 folders a day. We use dark blue folders at work and black ink barely shows up on them; forget about blue ink. It is easy to use, reliable, easy to hold, and portable/durable. Even though the format is not QWERTY, if you know your alphabet, you will quickly get used to this format, too. Great bang for the buck.
If you use a label maker more often or more intensively, then this is probably not the label maker for you. Be aware that the paper labels themselves are a little pricey at $9 for 26 feet of total tape and about 6 labels per foot. That's about 150 labels for $9 or 6 cents a label; it can add up quickly. This is another example of a product being sold as a loss leader for the item the product makes (e.g., cameras and film; printers and ink/toner; now labelmakers and labels).

Easy to use, but print resolution is poor,

I bought this item at a B&M and was pleased with the functionality, form, and usability. Unfortunately, the print resolution was rather unimpressive. More accurately, the resolution of the lettering was poor. When printed at maximum size, the letters looked extremely blocky. When printed at smallest size they were more legible, but it was obvious that they used the same resolution for both...similar to taking a bad web image and fitting it to full-screen...not too pretty!
Other smaller issues were that the buttons needed a rather firm press to be recognized, and the screen contrast was not as good as it could be, even at full blast. I have used several other label makers, and I would put this at the bottom for print quality, but near the middle/top for usability. I would not recommend this product.

Looked all over Milwaukee for this particular model of labelmaker. Was thrilled to find this vendor on Amazon who offered what I wanted at a fair price and a very cool color (red!). Thanks!
