Access 174 characters and symbols from the familiar QWERTY keyboard. View your label on the 8.5-character display prior to printing. Change the length of your label by setting a fixed value, or let the machine center your text automatically. Print up to 99 copies at a time. Later, when you turn on the LM100 again, the unit remembers your last label and displays it for quick printing or editing.
The Label Manager is easy to use, though introducing yourself to its many features requires a thorough review of the instruction manual. To answer any questions, DYMO's Web address and the phone number for the DYMO hotline are also listed on the packaging.
Replacement label tapes come in easy-loading cassettes, and the body of the machine provides a convenient window so that you can see the current cassette's size and color. The Label Manager accepts tapes measuring 0.38 inches by 23 feet and 0.5 inches by 23 feet. More than two dozen size and color varieties are available. A sample cassette comes with the machine.
Measuring just 6.5 by 4.75 by 2 inches, the DYMO Label Manager LM100 is both a compact desktop solution and a portable handheld solution to labeling needs at home, in the shop, at the office, or on the go. The unit requires six AA batteries (not included) and is backed by a limited one-year warranty.

This review is from: DYMO LabelMANAGER100 Electronic Label Maker (Office Product)
This is a pretty decent labeler. The machine was actually intuitive enough to use without the instruction book -- but I found I needed the guide to figure out how to change the size and style of the typefaces, and how to clear the display all at once, rather than letter by letter. (It doesn't automatically clear the entries after they print.) There are a lot of nice features, such as special foreign-language characters, vertical printing, two-line printing, and automatic centering. I was just a little bit disappointed in the quality of the printouts. If you look closely, you can see that they are slightly "bitmapped," or jaggedy around the edges, like an old dot-matrix printer. I was expecting more of a laser-printer quality. Still, it's a good unit for labeling shelves in our shipping area, which is why I bought it.
