5.0 out of 5 stars Can't Live Without My Letra-Tag!
I really can't live without my Letra-Tag; I use it for absolutely everything: labeling boxes of every sort, shape and surface, identifying shelves in all my closets (helpful with 4 kids!), labeling file folders, whether hanging or flat, identifying items in a school project, i.e. a map, chart or table. and just about anything with a name! As you can tell, I'm an...

2.0 out of 5 stars Good...if They Stick
I have 2 DYMO Letra Tag Label makers and in general I like them. I use the plastic tape to label my spice jars. While the print holds up to the frequent handling, the labels don't stay stuck to the glass bottles. No matter how carefully I clean the jars before applying the label they start peeling from one end or the other (and sometimes both).

They also...

5.0 out of 5 stars Can't Live Without My Letra-Tag!, February 14, 2003

I really can't live without my Letra-Tag; I use it for absolutely everything: labeling boxes of every sort, shape and surface, identifying shelves in all my closets (helpful with 4 kids!), labeling file folders, whether hanging or flat, identifying items in a school project, i.e. a map, chart or table. and just about anything with a name! As you can tell, I'm an organization freak and the Letra-Tag was the best discovery I've ever made.
In addition, it is much less expensive than many of its competitors. I know of only one other label maker on the market that costs less than Letra-Tag and there is no comparison between the quality of the two products.
My only objection, and this is VERY small, is that it took a
little time at first to learn where the label tape is sold. While it is not sold at every stationary store, it is certainly available at all the big office supply stores, both on and
off-line. It is also very easy to price compare on the internet, as well, enabling me to get the best price and buy in bulk.
If you like organization and don't like to waste money, it's the greatest!

They also don't like to stick to the plastic caps.

I am disappointed with this product, but haven't found anything better.

BTW - The metallic tape was no better.

4.0 out of 5 stars Essential for DYMO Labelmaker, August 8, 2001
The yellow plastic tape is essential if you have a DYMO Letratag Labelmaker of this size.

The plastic tape is far superior to the paper tape. The metallic tape is OK, but for most household and office uses, the plastic is best. Furthermore, the yellow is easy to read.

A previous reviewer complained about not being able to obtain this during the Christmas season, but that fails to accurately critique the product.

5.0 out of 5 stars Love Labels, wish it had more tape per roll, May 2, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
These labels are extremely useful and durable, the only drawback is length of tape when you're working on printing out quite a few labels.

I label everything that needs it in my reference guides, so I run out often during my studies..

The Quality and Adhesive is top notch!

I would recommend this product to anyone looking for labeling ideas.

Hope that helps you with your purchasing decision

4.0 out of 5 stars Good tape, September 12, 2009
By
This is an ok tape. I prefer not to use the see through tape, though that works just as well. I have used the dymo letra for about two years and I have noticed that after this time, it only prints half of the letters ...it might be the batteries need to be replaced, but one letra that I bought, though I replaced the batteries I still had the same problems...but it is great when it works right.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great on Light Surfaces or Scrapbooking, July 25, 2008
This cartridge is great for what I use it for. I was setting up my craft room and most of my scrapbook organizers are white so using the clear background with the black lettering stood out great. Plus it's great for journaling in scrapbooks too. I'm still on my first cartridge so it seems to last as well.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great For Me, October 7, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Black letters on white background are clear dense and sharp. Despite the the complaints of other reviewers, I have not had problems with print quality, sticking to smooth surfaces (glass spice bottles, metal surfaces, etc). You can't beat the price with Amazon Prime, under $5.50 to your door in two days. Dymo has always been the gold standard in label machines since I was in elementary school in the early 1960s and we had the manual "label embosser" machine. Very pleased.

4.0 out of 5 stars Labeling Tape, September 9, 2011

Got it in a very timely manner. Love being able to label various items, wish that it was dish washer resistant, or at least lasted longer from washing.
