Amazon.com Product Description

At just over 6 inches long, the pocket-sized Electronic LabelWriter 5231 from Dymo is just the right size for versatile use in busy office and retail environments. With international language capabilities in English, French, and Spanish, it also has excellent potential for use in classrooms and on the desks of professionals at nonprofits. The automatic shutoff helps conserve battery usage, while the variety of tape colors and 0.5-inch standard tape width ensure usability for tasks like file labels, retail bin signs, and classroom or medical office item identification. The printer comes with white label tape and the necessary batteries, so you can start using it as soon as you open the box.

4.0 out of 5 stars NOT ENOUGH INFORMATION, January 6, 2001

This review is from: DYMO Pocket Electronic LabelWriter 5231 (Office Product)
I like the size of the unit and I really like the idea of it being so portable. The information I feel you are missing is more detail on the lable material that is used. I would like to know if it is a "laminated" lable, or if it is just paper. I am looking to replace a brother p-touch unit that uses battery or adapter to plug into wall currant. I wish you provided more detailed information.
