Book Description

October 1, 1995
Discover the science of being a winner.

The world's foremost producer of personal development and motivational audio programs now offers an inside look at how you can become a champion.

"The New Dynamics Of Winning" is the most comprehensive study on winning ever conducted. Combining scientific breakthroughs in sports psychology with current research in the behavioral sciences, Denis Waitley has developed this easy-to-understand program, designed to make you a winner in all areas of your life.

This ground-breaking work is based on long-term behavior assessment studies conducted by some of the nation's leading clinical psychologists and authorities specializing in peak performance. From these important findings, Waitley isolated the key mental traits and self-management skills common to Olympians, professional athletes and world-class winners in business, civic and family life.

Now, for the first time, Waitley reveals these crucial winning traits to you. He guides you to develop these qualities and seek the "Olympian within" yourself for greater confidence, commitment and concentration, and illustrates these champion characteristics with accounts of legendary sports leaders, including Joe Montana, Jack Nicklaus, Chris Evert, Roger Staubach and Lou Holtz.

"The New Dynamics Of Winning" is a mandatory training session for anyone whose ultimate goal is success.

Reading one of Waitley's other books, The Winner's Edge, at the insistence of my boyfriend, I was totally amazed at what an interesting point this man made. He suggests that in order to change your life, one must think differently, like a winner, and that is just what prompted me to read another title. The New Dynamics of Winning is also a gem in what I am sure is a long line of other great books. His whole approach is to detail the lives and careers of top atheltes and show how their habits and thinking allow them to win various awards and overcome obstacles. Waitley isn't overly preachy and includes an important step in solidifying his ideas and thoughts by reiterating the theme again and again, and also at the end of the book. This was helpful, in that he presents so much information and advice, one needs the reminder. I was impressed by his research, and as a psychology major, I found his methods to be very informative and interesting. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who wishes to change their whole outlook on life by changing how one thinks. It really works!
