When I got these in the mail, my first thought was, "They're just peanuts, and there's no warning label, so they can't be THAT hot." I was dead wrong. The can was sealed, and once I peeled the metal seal off, I was greeted by a LOT of peanuts, covered in dark red powder, some having 50% more than others, so I grabbed the one with the most amount (because I'm naive that way). I took a whiff of the inside of the can, but I mostly smelled the peanuts which led me to believe that my belief of the peanuts not being that hot stayed adamant. Shrugging it off, I popped the peanut in and started chewing. Instantaneously, my tongue and throat was on fire, I felt my face turning red, my nose started getting runny, and I hardly began to sweat...and this was just ONE PEANUT. As I waited for the burn to cool down, I was sitting there, feeling as if I just got done kissing a fire-breathing dragon looking for sacrifice on top of Mount St. Helen's. The wrath of these peanuts were not over, however.
Love the extreme heat, but I hated the aftermath, which ended up being rancid farts. It was as if the stomach acid in my stomach fused with the powder to create sulfur (because that's LITERALLY what it smelled like: Sulfur). This does not compute well while you're releasing gas bombs in the shower or while you're in a cooler. I can still remember the horrified look on the person's face, standing behind me while I was at work on the job, looking at me as if she was just hit with Tear Gas. Wasn't sure if I should feel bad for her or for my stomach, but I actually found it incredibly funny. I eventually got used to the heat, and I can tolerate these peanuts enough to eat more than just 5. These peanuts, overall, are awesome, and I know it's immature to think farts are funny, but the look on that person's face was just too funny to not laugh.
I've been buying at least a can a week for a year because they are addictive but i can kick this habit just like the rest.
Da Bomb has to be in Da Budget.
If you're thinking about purchasing these you know the ghost pepper is hot, what you want to know is how hot are these really? Having already state I'm not an extreme chili head, I would say these have enough heat to satisfy people that have found the habanero spiced peanut offers a little on the mild side (like me). I can toss back a small handful and enjoy a pleasant spicy burn for 3-5 minutes but I don't find them particularly hot. The spicy burn aspect fades pretty quickly. An extreme chili head would not have problems tossing back a large handful.
They are not the most flavorful spicy peanuts however. If you're looking for more than just hot and spicy look elsewhere as these peanuts are mostly just about the heat. That's not to say they are "bland" or flavorless but they may not be as flavorful as you might be hoping for. Overall I give these 4 out of 5 stars, because I bought them hoping for a nice hot snack and I got that, but I was hoping for a bit more going on flavor wise than what I got.

They are hot. I love spicy food, but just can't quite enjoy these. Nothing wrong with them. Just all heat and no flavor.Published 2 days ago by Rich

Very hot. When I first got them, I could only eat a couple at a time. The heat definitely stays with you. Once you get used to the heat, the flavor shows up. Read morePublished 7 days ago by chris wheatley
Full of salt and preservatives. You'd be better off buying your own bulk peanuts and coating them with ghost sauce and baking them....at least more healthy. Read morePublished 8 days ago by Cross-tie Walker
