Biography

Corey Woods aka Raekwon The Chef, has been a staple in the Entertainment industry since his debut in 1993 as an integral part in undeniably one of the greatest Hip-Hop groups to date, the legendary Wu-Tang Clan. Editorial Reviews

One of the sharpest swords the Wu-Tang has ever known, Raekwon the Chef is back in classic Wu fashion taking you on the lyrical high he is known for producing. Featuring outstanding guest shots from Busta Rhymes, AZ, Ghostface Killah, Nas, GZA and RZA, Raekwon aka Lex Diamonds is fully supported on this CD. Stick up kids, corrupt cops, and crack rocks are the three most relevant topics throughout, so if you are looking for that East Coast gangsta music, “The Davinci Code: The Vatican Vol. 2” is the jump-off to jump on.

4.0 out of 5 stars Nice Mixtape from RAE - 4.5 stars, August 7, 2006

This review is from: The DaVinci Code: The Vatican Mixtape V2 (Audio CD)
Da Chef is back with a brand new mixtape for his fans who have been waiting for something new from Rae for the past 3+ years. With 19 songs/freestyles you get some of Rae to hold you over til he finally drops the long awaited "Only Built 4 Cuban Linx... 2". Of the 19, about half dozen are 16 bar freestyles, guests rap songs on 4 and do the hook on 2 songs, and 3 of the songs on here are from other albums. Of the 19, 1 is a classic, 2 are near classic material, 5 are ok, the rest are good, a few are real good. A nice Wu album to add to the collection you should already have!

#2 - 6 (short freestyle)
#3 - 7.5 (another short freestyle)
#4 - 9 (tribute to Rakin -- f/ Ice Water -- nice beat)
#6 - 8
#7 - 8.5
#8 - 8.5 (off DJ Clue's "The Professional" (1998)
#9 - 8
#10 - 8.5
#11 - 8.5
#12 - 9 (f/ AZ & Ghostface -- off AZ's "AWOL" (2005))
#13 - 7 (short freestyle)
#14 - 8.5 (short freestyle)
#16 - 8.5
#17 - 9.5 (f/ GZA & RZA -- off GZA's "Grandmasters" (2005) -- tight beat)
#18 - 10 (CLASSIC -- great beat)
#19 - 7.5 (f/ Nas)
#20 - 7 (f/ Busta Rhymes)
#21 - 9 (nice beat)
#23 - 9.5 (f/ Ice Water -- great beat, tight song))

5.0 out of 5 stars Its really good, August 10, 2006
This review is from: The DaVinci Code: The Vatican Mixtape V2 (Audio CD)
This mixtape has no flaws... It has everything you want from Rae, sick verses (especially the Rakim Trib.) & ill production. I loved this all the way through and if you are a wu tang head you need to get on this. A++

5.0 out of 5 stars Raekwon is Here to Save Hip Hop!!!, August 18, 2006
A Kid's Review
This review is from: The DaVinci Code: The Vatican Mixtape V2 (Audio CD)
Raekwon's newest Mixtape is straight fire and is earning classic status among all the wise sages of hip hop. The god is dropping knowledge over some serious heated beats! With so much wackness in the hip hop game today, it's refreshing to see Masta Killa, Ghostface, and Raekwon bringing real hup hop back and getting NY back on top! I can't wait for Only Built for Cuban Links 2!
