I purchased two of these cribs about four months before my second daughter was born (she is now 11 months). Our first crib for my first daughter was recalled twice for drop down rail suffications which scared the living daylights out of me so I just purchased two new cribs without the drop down side rail. My toddler jumps around and plays in her crib as well as climbing all over the outside as well. We haven't had a problem with the side rails on either crib becoming loose. I love the way the cribs look. They have a beautiful oak finish and I'm hoping with the conversion they will both last many many years. We are going to be converting our toddlers crib to a toddler bed in a few month so I cannot speak to how the conversions have gone at this point, but I do know that we are extremely happy with both of our cribs, the way they look and their safety.

I am totally disappointed with this DaVinci product. I was so excited when I ordered the Oak crib but the color is atrocious. It looks like someone mixed the oak and cherry colors together. I hate the baby's room now but am stuck because I didn't open the box as soon as I got it. It does not match any of the other oak pieces I have. It looks reddish orange. Beware of untrue colors! Should have listened when a customer complained about the smell of the stain. Inferior product from Amazon!

Well, this crib looks nice and the fact that it's convertible is nice as well. However, after less than four months of my sub 15 pound baby boy sleeping in it, the handrails started becoming loose. I inspected the crib and found that slowly, all of the bolts were coming loose, the worst giving about a half an inch. I will now regularly check the crib for sturdiness. I know my son moves around a lot, but come on guys!

This crib is really pretty. It's durable and sturdy. The drawbacks of this 1. The screws are an eyesore and there are no covers and them the pieces at the top aten't lining up exactly.

We got the crib really fast, my husband put it together pretty quick without any problems. Looks great. We love it!! I would love it more if my baby liked to sleep! Looks great and couldn't be happier with it!!

It's a nice crib.. but if you want the color you see in the picture, you won't get it. We ordered this crib in Coffee and it looks more cherry.. it doesn't match any of the other pieces I wanted in the room and once you get it all together, there's no use in taking it apart to ship it back. Also, the bolts are very obvious. They should have made some covers for those.

We we're looking for a crib where the back was not high since we wanted to show off the tree decal and this was basically the only one we liked. The installation was really easy, was assembled in about an hour by my husband. I did find it annoying that they put warning stickers on the outside of the wood which was not easy to scrap off. Luckily I have long nails and was able to get them off. But even with Pledge you can kinda still see the sticky residue left from the stickers. The screws are visible but they are gold screws so it really doesn't affect the outcome of the crib. It is a gorgeous crib and the Cherry color is perfect. We love this crib and can't wait to start using it.

The crib was straight forward to build and seems of high quality. However, the oak finish is too orange colored. I had read other reviews that said it was slightly orange, but it is VERY orange. Still a very good buy for the price, compared to pre-built cribs we had looked at.

I just received my crib today. Assembly was easy enough. I did it myself in about an hour. The oak stain is a bit on the orange side but it still looks good. For the price, it was a great purchase. And you cant beat free shipping. I just hope it can handle a baby.

Excellent product. Came in a timely manner. All pieces were in the box. Easy set-up and my grandbaby loves it. I really appreciate that the notches and scratches she make now can still be there in her future when we turn it into a full size frame. Loved it.
