4.0 out of 5 stars Not a Revisionist but...., March 7, 2000
This review is from: Dachau: The Hour of the Avenger (An Eyewitness Account) (Paperback)
Right from the horses mouth, the allies fought a dirty war. Though he is not a revisionist, he's not afraid to bring out the truth of the cold blooded murders by the Americans liberating Dachau. It's a good book for WWII history buffs.

4.0 out of 5 stars Authored By Witness, Not Historian, December 31, 2006
This review is from: Dachau: The Hour of the Avenger (An Eyewitness Account) (Paperback)
It helps when reading this book to keep in mind that the author makes no claim at being a professional historian. If he were, then I'd have to rake him over the coals by a different standard. This book was authored by a witness who could almost be viewed as one step away from being a participant. For that reason one has to anticipate in advance that the author not only has a predilection to cling to outdated propaganda stories about a gas chamber at Dachau but that the type of professional standard which one would feel entitled to demand of an academic liar such as Elie Wiesel is not really relevant here. Nevertheless, the closeness of this author to the events makes his account very relevant as historical document. Don't try to grade the book by the same standard as Robert Faurisson facing down Raul Hilberg. Hilberg is supposed to be a serious academic, the author of this book is not. But, as long as one is already aware that the story of Dachau as a death camp is not only phony but has been admitted as such for the last couple of decades, then this book has something to add to your knowledge.
