So many baby books are about the mother-child relationship that it was nice to see one which celebrates fathers for once! This is a sweet (and short) book, with simple pictures. It appears that this was originally written in French, although you may have to visit one of Amazon's European websites to order it in that language. I currently see four books (two about moms and two about dads) available in this pleasant little series.

I bought this book for my husband to read to our daughter. So many books focus on the mother-child relationship, I was happy to find something that spoke to the father-child bond. And it works: he voluntarily became the official bedtime reader after I bought this book.
Frankly, this book is not the greatest in terms of text or art, but for some reason, it was my daughter's first absolute favorite book, and remains (8 months later), her most favorite book. Just reciting the text(without the book present) immediately soothes her. But my favorite part? the beautiful bond it has created between daddy and child.

Another special selection for the young child in your life. It is a big hit with my 15 month old grandson. I highly recommend this as well as "Mommy Hugs."

Drawing is nice
I like the style of this book, but it is boring. "Mommy hugs" blows this book away, I absolutely love that one. I wish Daddy cuddles was written more like "Mommy hugs". Read more

Be ready to give hugs!
My 11 month old loves this book. Her Daddy is deployed right now and enjoys hearing the name Daddy and especially loves all the hugs this book gives!
