Book Description

NEW YORK TIMES and USA TODAY Best-selling Author, Judy Angelo, presents:

Volume 7:

A little girl, a wish, and a woman determined to stay out of his reach. How to reconcile the three?

Billionaire investor, Drake Duncan, is at the top of his game. He decides to hire a ghostwriter to work on his memoir. Little does he know that the writer who will answer the call is truly a ghost - from his past.

Meg Gracey is the proverbial 'starving artist', a writer down on her luck. When she is offered a contract as ghostwriter she jumps at the chance, only to later realize that the job will throw her directly in the path of the man she vowed never to 'touch with a long stick'. Caught between starvation and emotional torture she is forced to choose.

Does she follow reason or give in to the desires of her heart?

1.0 out of 5 stars Ugh... October 22, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I don't write reviews... usually. BUT (and it's a big one)... this isn't one on which to waste your $0.99. Not a lot of character depth and a whole lot of "pitiful me" for the female. And for a female so angry for SOOOO long, she sure does forget all AND introduce her six year old daughter and let him tickle her! (I digress because I have a six year old daughter. - BTW... if I talked to MY six year old the way this Mom does, mine would look at me like I'd grown a third eye and scream "I'm NOT a BABY!!!")
Again... don't waste the dollar.

1.0 out of 5 stars It sucked...Might contain spoilers... November 16, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
It sucked so much. If I could get a refund, I would. The whole story was just stupid. The guy falling in love with the girl after a week and proposing, it was utterly ridiculous. Look, I love romance novels. I read them by the thousands. I know alot of the stories are out there and can be far fetched but come on! Let there be some type of reality thrown in there. Also, the little girl wanting to call him Daddy after an hour...yeah ok sure. The misunderstanding was just stupid...that is all

3.0 out of 5 stars So very tired of these long dragged out assumptions September 10, 2012

Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Seriously, I do love this author, but I'm tired of the ever ending drama that comes with assumptions. First off I'm not done reading this yet, but I'm pissed at the stupid naive girl act. Okay she was innocent and a virgin in college...but what the heck was the guy to do with a weeping girl? He went off to graduate and got caught up. Assumptions lead no where unless you talk!!!! Even worse when relying on someone else to do your dirty work of the aftermath. And the narrative of how this girl is and feels then does the exact opposite is even more frustrating. Why can't anyone write what people feel and get things out instead of dragging it on? I know it's a story, but I've read plenty stories that have characters blunt and there is an involved story plot. It gets so annoying at times and the characterizations fall very flat: the woman appears naive and stupid, the guy seems like an arrogant ass when he wasn't or the exact opposite. It's getting beyond cliche. Still I liked the concept I just wish there would be more stories out there that go for the blunt upfront rather than beating around the bush a million times! I recommend, but I'm only giving this 3 stars even when I am almost finished with it.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not good December 30, 2012

No substance to this one. No sparks, no true banter between characters. Has to be a beginner writer. Not worth your time.

3.0 out of 5 stars Fast read December 27, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
This is ok. Could have used more details, not really long enough for me. I like to get to know characters and details of their lives
more than what this book offers.

More About the Author

New York Times and USA Today Best-Selling Author

If only so many billionaires were available! But hey, that's what fantasy and dreams are all about, right? With stories like these we can escape into a world where bad boy billionaires abound.

I fell in love with romance novels as a teenager and have never lost my passion for these stories of love and life, conflict and reconciliation, relationships and family. For me, it was a natural progression from reading romance novels to writing them (I've always loved creating stories of my own). There's just one little problem - I keep falling in love with each new hero I create. Would you call that cheating? (smile)

When I'm not writing, I'm reading psychology and neuroscience. Fascinating stuff! My book shelves are loaded with textbooks, right next to tons of romance novels. My son calls me a book nerd and I proudly accept the title. What can I say? Books are my life!
