4.0 out of 5 stars A Sweet Little Book - a review of "Daddy", January 30, 2006
This review is from: Daddy (Library Binding)
The love between a girl and her daddy: that is the topic of this sweet book that features an Afro-American family. Dad gently teases his princess, and they play silly games, shop and color together.

The story ends on a tender though less 'positive' vibe as the little girl describes how she worries about her dad when he is gone.

From the book:
Next Saturday when he comes
and I'm two inches taller,
we're going to fly a kite on his roof.
I know he won't forget
because he wrote our date on his calendar
and in his head.

Three and a Half Stars. Very nice artwork and good story. As a mom of two fair skinned children I was happy to find this story about love that came in another color.
