My almost 19 month old son has loved these books for months! We have quite a few of them and they are the first ones he picks! When his little friends come over, they also reach for Katz' books first. Very fun. My son LOVES to pick up the flaps. My only thing is to be careful with a young infant because they will rip the flaps off. Highly recommend though!

Great For Boys & Girls,

Sweet, lovely, fun book for boys and girls that focuses on Dads who spend time with their kids--a doubly positive message. Flaps just tickled my two toddlers to no end, story and art is adorable. Will buy all the other books in this series. I also just bought a copy of "I Sleep At Red Lights: A True Story of Life After Triplets," by Bruce Stockler, a warm and wonderful memoir of a Dad's appreciation of fatherhood, for my husband, who (while a wonderful man) thinks he's a genius if he does one load of laundry.

This review is from: Daddy and Me (Board book)
This adorable follow up to the her great book, Where is baby's belly button?, is Daddy and me. It is the cute story aboiut a boy and his dad building a special surprise together. It has the same fun lift the flaps that Karen Katz books are known for and simple text that is good for babies and up. Great!!

It's a great book. My daughter loves to read it over and over again. She is only 15 months, but loves to look at the pictures and listen. The other books by the same author are good too.

Baby Bonding,
By
This review is from: Daddy and Me (Board book)
As much as I liked "Where is Baby's Belly Button," I think Karen Katz outdid herself with this one. This adorable story shows the male bonding between a father and very young son and their building project. Can they build it? Yes, they can! I love it!

We Love Them,
By FixCat "FixCat" (DC Metro) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Daddy and Me (Board book)
My two boys really enjoy Karen Katz's books better than any of their other books! We own them all - and although "Where's Baby's Belly Button?" is simply adorable, and great for learning body parts, I think their favorite is "Where's Baby's Mommy?" When we read this to them, we always ask them, "where is the wagon?" . . . "where is the kitty?" . . . "where is the ball?" - We love it. We also count the ducks in the tub now that our oldest is 2.5 years old! "Daddy and Me" is wonderful because we change the dogs name to our dog - Lucy - and my husband doesn't feel left out because its about him and the boys!

I got this book for my daughter to read with Daddy. This book is definately for boys. It has the lift tabs like all the other Katz books, but this one has you find screws, paint brush, and other items to make a dog house. Not my favorite Katz book. Go with Counting Kisses.

My daughter will take this book turn the pages, play with each page by flipping up the toolbox lid, picking up the newspaper page and so on. She will bring this book over to her dad so that he can read it to her and she does the same with me. I can't say enough about this book and any book with flip pages in them. They keep any child starting to explore their world very busy.

We've had this book for going on 2 years. My son still loves to sit with me and read this book. The interactive aspect of this book allows him to be more than just sitting there hearing my words. Reading and children... can it get any more memorable?

Excellent book with flimsy paper flaps,
By
This review is from: Daddy and Me (Board book)
All of Karen Katz's books are well written, cute stories with bright fabric inspired illustrations, however the flaps are VERY flimsy and can be torn off easily by little hands. The thin paper flaps are not durable at at all. Also, the flaps don't all open the same way so your little one must learn how to open each flap differently. Despite this, I still purchase more of her books since my 16 month son picks out Katz's books each day for storytime and enjoys them immensely.
