This review is from: Daddy poured the coffee (Paperback)
Birmingham Post-Herald columnist, Nell Brasher, writes about her early life (about 1917-27). The more than sixty stories were probably taken from her newspaper column "Page from a Diary." I found the book humourous and was amazed at how people lived back then. From the back cover:
"Drawing from her own happy Alabama childhood and "growing up years", the author recounts family experiences of shared love, laughter, and tears." A talented writer teaches us about "riding in high cotton" and "old fashioned wash days."

I'd love to review this book but don't want to commit the bucks for ordering til I at least know the book's subject. Could someone provide a brief summary of this book's subject?
