For the other 99.9% of us fathers who are trying - and frequently failing - to be the very, very best dad possible, Lang's DADDY'S LITTLE GIRL is a heartwarming, informative and life-affirming exploration of the joys and travails of parenting.

Lang's book interweaves his own parenting experiences with his daughter Meagan and stepdaughter Linley with those of other fathers or daughters who shared their special memories with Lang via snail mail, emails, etc. The stories run the gamut from birthdays, first dates, important father-daughter chats, leaving home, college, weddings and so on. Whatever the occasion and whatever the emotions involved, time and again what's revealed in Lang's story is the infinite capacity to love, to reach out, to forgive, etc. Lessons were learned, relationships underwent change, challenges were faced and often conquered, love grew.


In short, DADDY'S LITTLE GIRL is a wonderful book, a great read and a reassuring testimony to the power of love. Recommended.

A friend from work really misses her papa even though it's been years since his passing. For Christmas I wanted to find something extra special that would reinforce her special bonds with him. I found that gift in Daddy's Little Girl. I picked random stories to read and each one made me cry and appreciate the bond between father and daughter. I can't wait to give this to my friend.

This book is full of stories that inspire. Every little girl does need a daddy and this book reaffirms the importance of fathers in our lives. I loved reading the different experiences that daughters have had with their dads. This book would make a great gift!
