Loved Robert's interpretation. It made a lot more sense to me, plus being more positive than the original. It passed the test of a good story in that I found myself thinking of it for many days afterward.

Daedalus Rising reads like a memoir of Daedalus' relationship with his emerging self and that of Icarus's emergence as well. It is a relationship that hinges on the belief Daedalus holds in an evolving future of possibility for himself and the faith that his son will lay claim to the possibilites that lead to his becoming his rightful future as well.

Though told in the context of a father son relationship - the story -- re-envisioned as a being and becoming of one's true self -- is applicable to all persons who call themselves human. It is obvious that the author has lived the doubt inherent in such a journey and has penned for all of us -- the hope that ensues when you stay present in the process. Great job Robert --thanks!

Daedalus Rising is a book that you should savor. It is written so elegantly, you'll feel like you're doing something nice yourself while you're reading it - much like getting a massage or relaxing in a hot tub.

It is true to the myth, but also takes you to a deeper level of involvement with both Icarus and Daedalus.

It is well done. I highly recommend this book!

In his own beautiful way, Robert William Case shares the story of a man bound by the past and judged by the people around him to a withering and unfulfilling life. But through a series of circumstances and awakenings, he casts off the expectations of others and sets a course to a new future of possibilities for himself and his son. It is a story of unexpected growth and the courage to face the unknown and in many ways it is the story of "every man".
