The set's built-in HDTV tuner performs line doubling and up-conversion of NTSC signals from cable boxes, VCRs, and camcorders. The 30-inch Pure Flat CRT screen is configured in a widescreen, 16:9 aspect ratio for optimum viewing of HDTV and anamorphic letterboxed DVDs. The 1,920 x 1080i set offers 3 display modes, full, zoom, and normal, depending on how you'd prefer to view standard 4:3 aspect-ratio programming.
A 3-speaker sound system for left-, center-, and right-channel audio saves space if you don't want separate front speakers, while speaker outputs let you hook up an external subwoofer and left and right surround satellites. The DSC-30W60N decodes Dolby Digital 5.1-channel surround sound internally (both from DTV signals and from your DVDs) and routes the audio to the appropriate channels. A five-band equalizer helps you match the timbre of your surround speakers to that of the set's internal speakers (or vice-versa). The main left/right speakers are powered by 8 watts each; the center and surround channels get 5 watts, and the subwoofer gets 10 watts.
Connections consist of 2 RF inputs (DTV/NTSC), 1 RF output, 4 audio/video inputs for NTSC, 2 S-video inputs, 1 component-video input (YPBPR / RGBHV selectable), and 1 set of multichannel analog audio inputs (left, right, center, subwoofer, and left and right surround).
A universal remote control comes with an onscreen display remote tutorial for user instructions. A 1-year limited warranty covers parts and labor, and the CRT itself is warranted for 2 years.
What's in the Box
TV, an AC power cord, a universal remote control, a user's manual, a warranty card, and a quick-reference guide.

Best bargain in HDTV I've seen,
By Richard Diehl (San Jose, CA United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Daewoo DSC30W60N 30" Pure Flat Screen HDTV-Ready 16:9 TV (Electronics)
I admit I do not have a lot of experience with consumer HDTVs, even though I am a video engineer. I saw the Daewoo set at NAB 2003 last week (4/10/03) and it attracted my attention because of the high quality picture. As I investigated further, I discovered that the set had the ATSC digital receiver built in! Up to now, this seemed to be an option on all the sets I'd seen. I was told that the set was obtained for $1,600! This is 1/3 the price of the nearest equivelant product I'd found! Since then, I have found this set for as low as $999. A bargain at twice the price! In all respects, for the price, I would rate this set very highly! Four point nine out of five at the least!

All they did was take an analog tv and stamped an Hdtv logo on it....hahaha this is not even close any hdtv 36inches and under including Zenith, Samsung, and Hitachi have a sick tilt problem. The the best picture out of all of them is the zenith...but hey ive takin back 7 tvs in a matter of 2 months..maybe im just picky.
